How to apply friction to joints?

The translation contact did not work for me. (Maybe because I used a Cube on a flat surface to slide?) When Simulated it was detaching from the sliding block and was going up and down in Y. Then Cylindrical contact made it slide on the slider surface. Can you help me understand why?
