This video blows my mind. I worked for General Cable in the early 80's doing the same job with totally different machines called a bunchers. 19 copper wires into one cable. Bare with me. I worked on ancient relics of the mid 20th century. Bobbins were loaded on an a horizontal frame with 19 stanchions to hold each bobbin. Using a hoist to pick up each bobbin and laying on the frame . Then feeding them into a die all the way to the take up reel and into the main buncher machine, the tough thing was working the brake on each stanchion to avoid a break from one of the wires. Crazy thing was they used a drip system of Tric 111 to cool the dies while the wire ran through it. I had 8 machines running all at one with 19 bobbins spinning. That 72 bobbins to monitor. A job that caused nightmares. I might have one tonight.
