Hard to remember who she is? No interesting color? struggles in coloratura? She is among great coloratura singers of today, and is fine for whatever. Only getting better. The voice is evenly supported throughout its vast range, and her breath control is astonishing. And this was a debut. Already she is justly famous. As she progresses further into her career, her mark will be indelible, a singer to be remember for many, many years to come. Another singer we are lucky to have in our time, and yet there are people who do not value this great talent.
I think people are disappointed by the chasm between the talent of the latter half of the 20th century and today. After people hear Corelli or Callas or Del Monaco or Sutherland (or many other great singers) sing an opera the way it was written, they don't want to settle for lazy interpretations (like Sierra's, here). Some contemporary singers commit worse errors than misinterpretations, too. That is why we critique: We don't want to get accustomed to mediocrity, and we don't want people to forget the way an opera is meant to be heard; perhaps we've been spoiled, though, and are too harsh.

60 anni fa la regola numero 1 nel canto era di non mostrare mai al pubblico che stiamo ''lavorando'' sul palco... da anni il canto lirico è diventato la professione più ''difficile'' del mondo pieno dei ''effetti'' inutili e poco professionali. intonazione precaria. non mi piace affatto.

Parlando dei dottori … Tra i dottori e i chirurghi noti / un secolo fa il mio nonno era un chirurgo noto a Vienna…/ durante più di 60 anni avevo tantissimi amici /6/ tutti professori,tutti portavano degli occhiali e tutti adoravano la lirica!!! Incredibile ma vero. Durante le mie recite avevano i loro posti al primo balcone prima fila , erano sempre contenti. Naturalmente dopo le recite non facevo mai attenzione ai loro complimenti ardenti … Stamattina sono andato dal mio amico foniatra seguendo i suoi preziosissimi consigli, dopo aver osculato il mio udito mi disse: - Tutto va benissimo, udito perfetto. Sono andato da lui disperato visto che lei mi ha detto due giorni fa che sono un vecchio sordo ! A chi credere non lo so … Saluti cordiali il vecchio PS 1 Mi sorprende il fatto che lei mi da del Tu visto che non mi ricordo di aver cantato sul palco e parlato con lei?! 2 Perché è un dottore un’informazione preziosissima per lei cioè l’udito del cantante lirico non ha niente a vedere con quello del dottore, purtroppo… Ciao
She has potentially a lovely voice , but I'm sad to hear her murder this beautiful aria , at times too much vibrato . I suspect this horrendous modern interpretation of Rigoletto is somewhat to blame .
Another screamy coloratura... why does she scream like that? I hope she is still learning cause if this is her final Voice, second class will be too much for her...
I think she has a pretty voice, but very, very usual; no interesting colour to speak about. I enjoyed it more when she's started, although there's intonation problems but she struggles a bit in the coloratura parts, very imprecise. She sings like most today's singers, essentially. It will be hard to remember who she is in a few years.

Im with you 100% Mimi.. plus she screams for absolutely no reason... I also find her Over-confidence onstage annoying to ridiculous levels :D But the most important of all is the big problems in her coloratura... if she doesnt work them with someone...
