Rika Usami - Kata Bassai Dai 

I'm a Chinese martial artist, and I don't tend to think much of most karate Kata exponents. But she is really great! She has absolutely incredible speed, without sacrificing anything in either power or precision. That's a really hard (almost impossible) combination to pull off. Congratulations!

Check her head. Her head is not moving a bit when she throws the punches and kicks. That's incredible.

When she says do the dishes, you do the dishes. 😅😊

Beautiful and well executed. But as an old school shotokan black belt I dislike the trend amongst Kata specialists (in all styles and for the last 20 years or plus) of doing unnecessary hand/wrist movements to give a sense of complexity in a simple movement such as a defense or even a punch. This is just a flourish and actually would be detrimental to the efficiency of the movement in a real application.

Nice technique. Uniform snaps when she completes a technique, waist and shoulders moving perfectly.

I trained in Wado Ryu for 20 years, loved Bassai Dai and thought I was pretty good at Kata, then I saw this.. I'm clearly barely a beginner! Best i've ever seen.

You can kungfu,karate,judo,jujitsu, boxing,street fighting,Mayfair kata, but Colt made all that stuff obsolete. Distance is your best friend. As long as you remember that rule (10 feet or more)you will defeat your opponent always… unless your weapon jams, misfire, or the opponent is a Jedi Knight , then you’re screwed.

This is not the original basadai what she does here .there is a basicly mistake in every single move.
