They both did really well and I’m so rooting for James this season for the finals but Riker definitely slayed this paso and it’s probably my favorite paso on the show!!
I liked both routines. I am rooting for James but I did prefer Riker's redition just a bit more. I love the paso! I have this bookmarked....have to watch it every so often
ME!! I've watched every season, but my memory fades after awhile. How do some of you remember all the people and dances? Impressive. I saw comments saying Riker's pirate dance was better. I totally remember this dance now and OMG it's amazing. I liked James too, but this one is far better.
I liked Riker but I think the main demographic likes to see more traditional Latin ballroom and Rumer & Val delivered that. Allison is amazing in contemporary and jazz but she's not the strongest Latin ballroom dancer, teacher or choreographer on the show. If you compare her dancing to Jenna and Lindsay's here, you can tell that she's an amateur :(
this is one of my favorite dwts dances. its SO passionate and fun and the choreography is amazing. riker was INCREDIBLE. it wasn’t perfect but it had so much life and energy
They were clearly robbed. If you watch the finale, especially when Tom was about to announce the winner you can hear the crowd screaming: Riker!. Plus Rumer and Val were in jeopardy literally every week, I was extremely shocked when they won.
This will probably forever be my favorite dance on DWTS. I think that’s also because I love the Pirates of the Caribbean movies with Captain Jack Sparrow being my favorite character. Riker and Allison were on fire this season. I do wish they would have won but Rumer was fantastic too.
I know, I really wanted Ryker and Allison to win too! I was rooting for them all season because they were just so good and yes, on fire for sure. I do agree though that Rumer was really good too, but wish they could’ve won, it’s ok though :)
This performance was like watching a full blown Hollywood broadway production! They could do a whole show and the production value would truly be top notch!

Years later Ryker and Alison's Paso Doble is still My Absolute Favorite ever on DWTS. This is the dance which I measure all other Paso Dobles and Non have come close as Riker's and Alison's. It belongs in the DWTS Hall of Fame.

This is still my favorite thing in the whole world. Let alone my favorite dance ever on dancing with the stars! The attack. Myyyy goshhhh I can not handle.
I think they made a couple of mistakes. The hard cut when they got close to the side of the stage, and then the spin around where the dude almost got yanked down with her. It's sad to notice 'cause this looked like a lot of fun.
