I understand dislikes. I was a huge jagjit Singh fan, and then I heard mehdi hassan and I so much not liked it. But it took years to understand the singing of mehdi hassan and today I don't understand how I couldn't like mehdi hassan.....its all about developing the ears and taste for different singing and styles.....unfortunately people hit on dislike, but don't understand that they are still so far from fine singing. Rahul ji here is extremely fine singer and people will have to come to some level to understand its beauty. Rahulji you are one great voice of India and mankind. Please please experiment more and keep continuing these wonderful conversations.

Thank you for splendid rendition of my absolute favorite song of kishore da. It's a 40 year old song but sounds as fresh as new rain. The way kishore da has thrown his voice in this song is simply breathtaking. It matches the intensity of the torrential mumbai rain. He has also created this sense of longing. You find the same feeling in "Mere naina sawan bhado".
Every song you render seems meant only for you. That is the beauty of your dedications, sincere and pure to the core. I keep forgetting the original singers. 🙂❤

Being hardcore classical music artist, its quite natural to bring classical touch to any type of song... (A mistake that most classical singers keep doing)... But in your case, you keep the simplicity of the song as is... without taking any additional harkat (and spoil the song.. lol) I saluuttee you for that.. You are always in my heart as a thorough and legendary artist!! Keep giving us these gems in your GOLDENN vocals... Great singing. I also liked your thoughts about the legendary Kishore Kumar! I've often seen Classical Singers look down upon Kishore Ji due to stupid reasons. For me personally, he's The God Of Indian Film Music What I always think is that - He's the one who really made me realise that high notes require to be sung with the same weight - the bass maintained, despite hitting high notes with ease. A few others whose names prop up are - Panditji (Bhimsen Joshi), Jagjit Singh ...
