I once seen a team of men do this in the Bronx when I was a child, and they stripped the whole car in broad daylight on a blvd while cars were driving by. They were so fast and rushing back and forth. They all got out of a white van like roches.

Why would you buy such flashy expensive aftermarket rims if you have to park in the open overnight. All other cars had oem rims and none got stolen.

This is why i have an alarm as soon as some one touches my car any where and i mean any where it goes straight to my phone...and i come running...but i do get a lot of false alarms from people's exhaust and what not but its worth it...and i feel good knowing my car is always safe.

I found it useful to have special lugs on my rims they sell them at most part stores its called a spline drive wheel lock also if you use hex pattern screws on your radio and license plate it makes them harder to steal buy them at lowes cheap

This is why in my condo complex we have leveled parking garage. I park on the top floor and put my cars in a corner next to a wall. (I have 3 luxury cars and 1 old work truck I drive everyday)... I park my luxury cars LITERALLY right next to each other and basically don't leave any space between each vehicle so a person can't break in the Windows or steal the rims. The first car goes in the corner with one side blocked by a wall. The next car is parked right next to the first car will little space between them. Both of these cars hoods are facing the wall. ......the THIRD car I park next to the second with little space and the trunk facing the wall. THEN I put a car car cover on EACH car and LOCK park of the car cover in the hood and trunk....so it can cover the car without it being stolen. So basically they CAN'T remove the car covers AND they can not access the wheels or the side of the vehicles because they can't even FIT between the cars. The only part that sucks is when I want to drive one of the cars for the weekend I have to uncover all three and repark them and RECOVER them. BUT it is necessary because security cameras suck, police won't take the break ins seriously, and replacing rims and windows consistently is EXPENSIVE no matter how rich you are. I have 4 cars in order to pull this trick off....so if you only have 1 or 2....then this system won't work for you.

As I’ve told people before if you have a vehicle that you feel it’s rims will get stolen have 2 sets of wheels and rims one pair on steelies and one expensive pair I’ve not known a single theif to steal steelies if that doesn’t deter them put some locking lugs it legit won’t be worth the time for some basic ass steelies I always recommend this for darker colored trucks cause steelies match them pretty good
