Got to go with the 4 because of the pre recording. We have the worse problem with deliveries not being placed where we request ( you know out of sight out of mind) so walk by or drive by thieves like to steal. My next purchase is an automatic pepperball blaster so when the Ringer alerts and i see the thief I can hit the button and shoot them with non lethal ammo. Excellent Video
The Ring 3+ also features pre-roll. The difference is that pre-roll on the Ring 3+ is black and white. Once recording begins, the video switches to color on the Ring 3+. Pre-roll is in full color on the Ring 4.
You did not mention heat. Ring 4 can handle warmer temperatures. Here in Vegas during the summer, the temperatures can exceed 114 degrees. My Nest Hello would go offline each day to avoid overheating. I have not tested Ring 4 yet.
I noticed that on this video and the previous one where you did the installation, the Ring Doorbell 4 is NOT laying flat on the wall. I have aluminum siding in the front of the house and in the area where I will put this up. Does this matter? What do you mean by "washout" ? Maybe not being able to fully see the image in front of the camera?
Had a Ring 4 and could not get it to ring our chime. Bought the Ring chime and found it would not always ring the chime. Deemed this setup unreliable. Put my old door button back in place and moved on.
Great video. Have you been able to try the Ring 4 with the solar panel to charge? Also, have you compared the Ring 3 Plus to the Ring 4? I'm debating which one to get. I have no wiring from the old door bell. Much appreciated!
Wasserstein makes a plug in AC adapter for under $20 I picked up to charge my ring 4. I read reviews on the solar panel stating it merely extended their battery life a day or two plus it’s $50
@@beaucephus526 I have read that it depends on where you have your bell, if it’s in direct sunlight or not. I’ve seen some reviews that state in direct sunlight, people haven’t had to charge the battery, but others have when not in direct sunlight. I was going to get the aftermarket one, I was curious about the one from Ring
