I believe you have the definition right. The more I use ring modulation, the less I think about that though, since the output is generally not as tonal, you wind up adjusting to the output by ear. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching.

Actually you're both right. Multiplying two signals results in the sum and the difference of the two frequencies. Good demo by the way!

Great practical demo of a ring mod....I built one but wasn't sure how it was supposed to sound, until now.
