Thank you for being an actual human. I was looking for reviews, but most of the videos are crappy artificial voice monstrosities. I seen 3 of them that even used the exact same footage. RU-vid just isn't the same anymore.
Terrible product. Doesn't pick up everything. Especially at night. We had a break-in and had to rely on neighbours' footage, which was about 10 metres away as compared to our ring security camera, which was directly above and facing the incident. Their footage was not a ring product and was much clearer. When it does eventually does pick up motion, the picture is very blurry, until it focuses on it. It takes a long time for the picture to actually focus which is very frustrating, especially when someone walks past a camera to break in to your backyard as the picture only focuses after the person leaves the shot. Battery isn't great and find myself continually charging it. Definitely don't recommend this product. Absolute rip off that you are charged a subscription fee for such an inferior product. Would get more bang for your buck using dummy cameras.
Mine only records when someone is literally at my door. So it misses then at the beginning of my driveway we’re my cars are so how can I change this. I’ve tried everything
When installing a RING Video Doorbell Plus to an existing system with 16V , once the battery is initially charged and installed do you have to remove it to charge again or will it stay charged with the existing power it's connected to?
Here is what they don't say. 1. You will be paying an annual subscription fee to have access to your recorded videos. It's not expensive... but it's not free. 2. The doorbells go off on anything unless you are constantly fiddling with it... meaning lawn care guys, amazon delivery, pizza delivery etc. 3. You WILL need to hook it up to the doorbell for the true experience they are selling and if you're monitoring this from out of town... get prepared to deal with a bunch of false bullshit constantly going off. 4. It is a constant drain on your WIFI. You lose that... and it's down. So basically if your internet provider goes down... so does your system. 5. You are tasked with resetting the device when an update occurs or you LOSE access to your 'security system.' 6. It can be hacked from an outside source meaning the O/S is poor. MY REVIEW? Go buy a stand alone camera and a gun. It's trash.
I mean a stand alone camera is the same things you listed unless you spend for it to record to an NVR. I’m that case get a video doorbell that can do that.
@@shaungreen5109 Door bell with battery is not realistic product line - you are right power outage is no use for a Door Bell with battery ,,no Internet no connection no recording LoL!!
This would’ve been an amazing video If you had actually helped us detach the battery from the unit. The most important part and you just completely glanced over it. Ugggggg
Waste of money! This ring doorbell fails to do one this that it supposed to do which is to RING!!! If someone at the door press the button you only get a notification, it doesn't ring!!!. That can be difficult to notice especially if you are in a call. You only get a very small ding like any other notification. Because of this reason in my opinion it's useless. With other doorbells much cheaper you get a basically a call which doesn't stop until you answer, even if you are in a call.
Stay away from this. Biggest scam ever. I changed my mobile number and couldn't log in anymore. I called customer service and they said they can't do anything.
Hello…a few questions: 1. Smartphone app: can my wife and I each have the app on our phone..I have Apple…she has a Samsung android phone? 2. Will I not have a doorbell chime if I install one of these…thinking about base model? 3. Do all the models have motion detection?
I have had this doorbell for a couple years and it often just loses cinnection and it’s a oain to get back online. It’s literally 5’ from router. I have their stick up cam in garage another 20’ away and it’s always working when doorbell stops. I’ve traveled and it goes out and can’t get it up again until return home. Save your money and buy Wyze.
Hi I'm trying to choose between the 4 and the plus, do you think the preroll is negated by the advance motion detection, 5 ghz was a good selling point to me but then I'm thinking do I really want my cameras being on my gaming WiFi taking up bandwidth. So it comes down to preroll and if its better to have rather than package detection.
EXCELLENT VIDEO Question: is this Waterproof? I would like to put this on my Travel Trailer, but it would be out in the weather. Thank you so much for sharing this great video
It's weather resistant. All doorbells are in the elements but as far as rain, snow, etc being directly on it you may have some issues. I know there are things you can buy on amazon that put a hood on it.
What does connect to any iPhone does it have to be a certain like 11 above or 12 above plus iOS phone or does connect to it like I got a 7+ would connect to that?
If getting rid of 5ghz for me would be great. Because I can't separate the SSID for the 2.4g vs 5.0g from our Google Nest Mesh. With the 3+ Ring the 5.0ghz disconnecting and reconnecting at least once a day. I use an IFTTT to alert me to this. So going back to only a 2.4ghz should be better for me. One solution would be a 2.4ghz Only extender with a separate ID for the Ring. But that gets another possible fault point in the way.
This one by far for battery. I use the Ring Pro and have had it for 7 years. I recommend it of the Ring Wired which is way cheaper and it works great too.
Hi DIY Reid, I am a UK viewer of your video which was very helpful, and I have subscribed. I nearly purchased this, but like you, I am not a fan of fish eye views, or subscriptions. What video doorbell would you recommend please? Many thanks
It got blown a little out of proportion. While I do agree they said nothing leaves your home network when they knew it did for rich notifications they have now amended that and fixed it.
