My parents were fighting at night in 1998, I was a kid and heard this song playing on neighbors radio, I grew up saying I will never fight my wife. I hate family violence so much coz of this song,I have a beautiful girlfriend and I can't badly touch on her. This song brings back those memories and also a remainder to me the value of women. I don't understand the language though.

He basically says: This girl is mine and mine alone. Her eyes kill me. Come closer(sondela - meaning). He is convinced that he's done enough to win girl's affection. He doesn't care about what other people say about the girl. He is urging her to accept him. In the end, ladies who are backing vocals are singing as the lady concerned and have accepted and are in agreement with him. This song has a happy ending. Ringo is singing in Xhosa.

This song reminds of those sunday afternoon's when my dad would play such songs and pull my mothers hand so they can dance together while singing to her. As a young girl growing up I'd always hope and pray for a love so pure!... Even till this day, after 21 years of being married they still do the same thing, and even till this day I pray and hope I find a love so pure!
