I just saw Frampton on his retirement tour. We happened to be staying at the same hotel. I was wearing an All Things Must Pass tshirt, someone taps me on the shoulder and in an English accent says 'nice shirt'. I turned around and it was Peter with no entourage just his wife. He asked if I was going to the show, I replied yes. I said I'm not an autograph seeker nor a selfie guy. I just said thank you for all the music. He winked and said he was glad to meet a fan who didn't freak out. He even asked me if I wanted a ride to the venue. I said mr. Frampton you're a gentleman but I'm meeting my dad first to get something from him. He asked if my dad introduced me to his music, I said unfortunately no, he was more of a Motown kind of guy, my dearly deceased mom had a cassette of Frampton comes alive in the car. He gave me a handshake and said thank you. I said I know you're probably in a great deal of pain but I really like you are going around one more time. I have cystic fibrosis and arthritis all over my body. He said we all have something don't we. Winked and smiling gave me a hug. I said have a great show! It will be something I remember with warmth for the rest of my life.

one of the greatest voices ever recorded and I've been thinking that since day one. this show came to Boston and having found out too late I drove to the open air hall and sat outside. heard him do White Room live and then heard Whiter Shade of Pale and Brooker sounded EXACTLY THE SAME. A night for vocals, my friend, worth sitting on the front of my car for.

I was happy to see that Jack Bruce dedicated Theme from an Imaginary Western to Felix Pappalardi who always sang this song for the group Mountain. For those who don't know, Felix was murdered by his wife in 1983 and somehow his wife received less than a year in jail for the murder.

Ringo was always my favorite Beatle. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert over in Gulfport, Mississippi, sometime after Katrina hit the coast so I'm thinking this was the traveling show since it was around 2007. He and his All Starr Band performed in huge tent set up with folding chairs and it was a great concert. I really liked that he came to the coast and entertained us when things were so down around here. This is just what I needed today - so glad I found the video and thank you, to whomever authorized the release.

Wow this concert was a real ear-opener for me - definitely one of the best of Ringo's all-Star line ups. One of the highlights of this show is the chemistry between bassist Jack Bruce and guitar-slinger Peter Frampton - pure dynamite - they are totally tuned in to each other and the joy they are experiencing is palpable. I've always been a fan of Bruce's playing, but Frampton was, until I witnessed this, one of those guitarists I knew was good, but never listened to him much. However, as others have also commented, he is absolutely on fire in this concert. One of my favorites is Sunshine of Your Love - both Bruce and Frampton turn in amazing solos, but the vibe they exude isn't the typical head-cutting, but one of intense cooperation. Just astounding.

It's sometimes said that people listen with their eyes, first and Frampton had the pretty boy image in the 70s, which very much distracted from how good his playing actually was. Although he's aging very well the attention goes much more to his playing now. A turning point in that respect was probably when Bowie asked him for his touring band.

I was shocked when a few weeks ago I searched You Tube for a clip of Ringo Starr playing Yellow Submarine live for my son's 27th birthday last month and this entire show popped up as this was the first real rock concert that I ever took my son to .... Besides a couple of local musicians in the park when he was a toddler ... But just after he turned four years old in 1997, I gave him a choice to see U2 at Giants Stadium or Ringo at the PNC Arts Center as they were both playing June 3rd and he chose Ringo as he loved the song Yellow Submarine and knew more Beatles songs than U2 songs ... So we drove South on the GSP for an hour from Westwood NJ and WOW, this show was AMAZING .. to watch it again 23 years later was AWESOME ... Great visuals of all these musicians in their primes ... Seeing this again was a gift from the Universe ...

Well let me help set the record straight: he:s one of the best rock 'n roll drummers of all time. He's the consumate "fan's" drummer: exquisite timing, flawless execution, a real rhythm-machine. And an incredible hard worker. He's on the highest level of rock performers, right along with folks like...well, like..Paul Rogers. Bad ass company, if you ask me!

Wow what a line up. Gary Brooker had one of the greatest, most soulful voices, always enjoyed his singing, fantastic even after 30 years (there's only a few - came to think of Joe Cocker and even Barry Ryan). And of course great songs. "Whiter" was the third 45 I bought ("All you need" the first, "San F" the second). I was 13 back then. 1967, what a summer... Didn't know Peter Frampton was such a killer guitarist. And of course Jack Bruce, enjoyed his solo works ("Consul at sunset" etc). Ringo always amazes me, peace and love. And his drumming is out of this world. No-one else can/could play drums like him. Great concert! RIP Gary and Jack!

A shout-out and some love to the other guy in the group no one mentions, Mark Rivera - the sax player and musical Swiss army knife. A monster session musician!

Peter is TOTALLY in his element playing lead guitar almost as a session musician. A lead singer in his own right, you sure can tell, he's having so much fun!

Peter Frampton is so very underated as a guitarist. I have seen him many times. Though the one i will always remember is him playing "while my guitar gently weeps" with Eric Capton in 2019. Peter was amazing and was having so much fun fulfilling a dream of playing with Eric Clapton. Plus, doing a beatles song that Eric Clapton actually played lead guitar on the original version. I will never for get the experience. I feel we all have concert memories that will live with us forever.

I love Simon's comment about it's "Pine Knob". DTE Energy bought the naming rights. But he's correct it is PINE KNOB and always will be for us locals!
@trevorsflatroundspun-vinyl9803
I grew up 2 miles north of Pine Knob. Saw many a show there. Didn't see this one (my musical tastes were in a much darker place at the time), but always good to see show shot at the Knob!

Saw Ringo 5 times. Always a great show. Saw Jack Bruce on his 50th Birthday in Buffalo. I sure have had a great life..Way back to $3.50 $4.50 and $5.50 concerts in Detroit, Every band that you can think of. Later in life I played with the late great Cub Koda. . I need to write a book... .

Dave Mason was supposed be on this tour but he walked out. Ringo was not happy. With Mason out all the guitar work fell on Frampton and kind of made it a Ringo/Frampton show.
