This is wonderful. Ringo has the greatest laugh and what a special tribute to the joyful spirit of Marc Bolan. Another video for my favorites. Thank you.
This is such an endearing story. All the pictures here plainly show what a loving friendshp Ringo and Marc had. Now I know what to say next time when offered potatoes! Love this!!!
It was very generous of The Beatles to welcome and encourage upstarts like Marc, Elton and Bowie - some folks would have felt threatened, but not The Moptops.
Marc and Ringo were one of a kind. Amazing film that Born to Boogie! And it was not Ringo that took the pictures of Slider. It was Tony Visconti, though Ringo got the credit. So typical Marc! I love him!
EPIC, funny story! LOL! That mental-zone OF WHEN you're 1/2 awake and HALF asleep!? YEAH, that CAN AND IS when 'we as humans' be the MOST creative. Ringo DOES have "hits", its more about taste in music that can reveal many artists forgotten works in ANYTHING! XD
I've still got this record'from 1972'..Did have a copy with the picture sleeve'But god knows what happened to that one?..Always heard rumours that Marc actually played on it But not sure about that?..I know that Marc did play on a track Called'Have you seen my baby'from the RINGO Album'..Thats quite a nice one to check out also.
CUTE!! Didn't know Ringo was that funny. Well, I remember he likes grapes. He's funny. Marc is the energizer bunny. I like to see things in their natural state rather than doctored up fake photos.
Marc Boland was a rock star , there are a lot of great musicians and bands etc. but so few rock stars and I'm not sure I can explain it other than its when rock is not what you do or play or work at its who you are , you have wild hair and outrageous clothes but its what you wear to bed when no ones around= look at those pictures Hes wearing ballet slippers ! and its cool lol you have to be a rock star to be able to do that or the mayor of Key West.
I guess then that this is 1 of few songs completly done by Ringo< and a great one it is< hes a great drmmer and great guy but not to many songs in his resume
No it is not about Paul. Ringo has stated that. People just read stuff into each song by each Beatle after their split and think it is attacking a Beatle bandmate
Interesting how he left out any mention of the Paul references in the song. I guess at this point he and Paul had kissed and made up and he didn't want to fan the flames of a new fued.
There is a lot of debate about if Paul is referenced at all in the song. Ringo has always denied that the lyrics had anything to do with Paul. As the Beatles biographer Robert Rodriguez mentioned - people just read stuff into the lyrics at a time of disagreements between McCartney and the other Beatles.
Bill Rohane he loves Paul, they're cool. Ringo said She Came In Through The Bathroom Window Paul's killer tune) is his favorite Beatles song, so that's cool.
