Exactly how "Its a Hard Day's Night" was named......by Ringo. Starr described it this way in an interview with disc jockey Dave Hull in 1964: "We went to do a job, and we'd worked all day and we happened to work all night. I came up still thinking it was day I suppose, and I said, 'It's been a hard day …' and I looked around and saw it was dark so I said, '… night!' So we came to 'A Hard Day's Night.'"

This is my favorite tune on the album...really great feeling between Sir Richard and Joe---reminds me of their exemplary work on Old Wave ("Be My Baby")---I wish just the two of them would do a whole album like this together...but Rings said in an interview with Morning Joe he's thinking this might be his last album (would rather do three or four songs at a time and release them)
