Today, we take a trip to the South End of Liverpool (Toxteth) to take a look at Ringo Starr's childhood homes and also to take a brief look at his very tough early years.
This is the first of a series of the Beatles childhood homes where we will take a look at where it all began for the four lads who shook the world.

Very interesting Rusty, my favourite memory of Ringo was watching Thomas The Tank Engine (which he narrated) when my children were small, his voice...great stuff my friend with massive love from Blackpool :)

It's a shame his house can't be used as some kind of tourist attraction. Lennon's house was quite posh, Paul McCartney family had a council house, which in those days was reserved for the more "respectable" working class. Ringo grew up in those two up two down terraced houses, and that part of history should be preserved too. Not just because of the Beatles, but because of working class history.
