Amazing day flying my boomerang 11 and Alex his Alpina 2 doing the coast run in beautiful orthographic clouds. Its a slow view of the coast in stunning cloud. The Gopro died while we floated around at Gad Cliff as we waited to see if the clouds would clear enabling us to do a return run to St.A and back. Sure enough, all the clouds dissipated and we pushed on for an amazing out and back flight. Things got tricky when we chose the low cliffs at Lulworth on our way back and at 150ft i was saying to Alex we were in trouble, he tried the Lulworth bowl and bombed on the beach while i made it to Arish Mell and saved it from 20ft! (16:00) Alex relaunched and made it back with minimal walking while i squeezed up to Bowleaze and back as the winds died off in the evening, landing safely at 19:40 back at Ringstead.
Alex's previous coastal P.B was Lulworth! what a way to beat it, great memory. Shout out to Tim Pentreath who was messaging me while we flew over Lulworth saying how it had been raining on and off all day inland but at the coast it cleared completely, it can be a good choice when we have low pressure
