All views in this video are my opinion there are no good or bad brushes rinse bars

Thanks for the comparison Dave. I've never seen X Line products for sale here in Australia, but if they don't have a swivel I wouldn't even consider them. After using a swivel on my wfp for window cleaning, I could never go back to using a fixed brush.

@squeakycleandave1 5 лет назад
Nigel O totally agree. I couldn’t go back to not using a swivel but you can normally unscrew the Connector of the back of a brush with a swivel and fit it to whichever brush you want 👍

great video, thank you Dave, it looks like both brushed have something to offer, especially if it comes to difference in pressure, if you need better rinse on the glass you can go with gardiner with more jets and if you have more stubborn stuff to be taken out you can go with xline, changing these brushes might safe alot of water during the whole year as you get different effect with more less the same water consumption without necessity of increasing pressure if using only gardiner.

Dave Spotless Cleaning yes Dave you are right but Gardiner are just about to bring out a low pressure 35cm rinse bar which could cover all bases 👍

You can use Gardiner swivel on xline brush. I put back plate off Gardiner brush onto large xline 11 jet brush Fitted onto quick low swivel 👍

Yes. You just have to unscrew the socket of the xline brush and replace it with a Gardiner one

Hi buddy if you get a chance try a streamline brush with x2 pencil jets.....a brilliant amount of pressure even on medium flow. They are a world away from just water essentially flowing out of holes. Brilliant video and cheers Dave. Andrew 😊

Hi Dave, Love the page, you've helped in many ways already! especially the motorised hose reel, absolute lifesaver! Quick question on rinse bars, I've been using them for half a year now with no problem but recently there has been bits left on the window even after the glass has had a sheet of water running clear down it, its as if the water is pulling bits down from somewhere when theres a flood of water rinsing it off! Have you experienced this or have any advice how to stop this? could my pressure be too low to shift it all, despite running at 50psi?
@squeakycleandave1
@squeakycleandave1 2 года назад
I haven’t had that problem personally and without actually seeing it it’s hard to troubleshoot. I have my controller set to 80 so maybe try turning it up a bit.

edward humphrey the Gardiner did cascade down the glass better but you need a much higher flow which would soon burn through your water. It not to bad with lower flow but then it doesn’t clear the brush so only good for rinsing on the glass. They are both good but for me the xline just took it

I do like the rinse bar inside the brush. But i have a xline brush and i think gardiner brushes are better quality for the glass. They have softer brushes. And for the glass the softer the better.
@squeakycleandave1

I use hot water during the winter so I always used a Gardiner stiff. The hot water destroys the soft bristles

@@squeakycleandave1 yes dave. I do believe you need a stiff brush for hot water. Do you have gas with a shower unit. Or is it a diesel hot water one. 👍

Hi Dave. What speed do you have your controller set to when using 4 100° fan jets? I'm having to run mine at full speed, 99 instead of my usual 74.
@squeakycleandave1
@squeakycleandave1 6 лет назад
Daniel Thorley definitely needs turning up. I’ve got an old analog Vari Stream controller which is set to about 3/4. I still use less water though because I found I rinse quicker
@Daniel__UK
@Daniel__UK 6 лет назад
@@squeakycleandave1 are you using 8mm minibore? I'm using 6mm microbore. If you have the larger hose, maybe it's due to the lower volume of water getting through the thinner hose
@squeakycleandave1
@squeakycleandave1 6 лет назад
Daniel Thorley I’m using 6mm as well. Try checking what your flow is like before you connect onto the pole and if it’s high it may be a slight blockage somewhere. I had it once. Couldn’t understand why I had to keep turning the flow up. If it’s not the hose check that the fan jets and the hose to them isn’t blocked

What's the reason for not using hot water all year around, I thought hot water gives a better clean is there a reason cheers David
@squeakycleandave1
@squeakycleandave1 6 лет назад
FlashTechEngineering the average temperature of my water coming out of my tank that I fill the van from is between 4 and 7 degrees C in the winter at the moment it’s 16*c during the hot weather it went up to 25*c so it’s already quite warm. Where I have to park it’s a hassle to plug it in so only heat it when I need to

Enjoyed the video, a couple of points though, why were you comparing the Xline sill brush and not the rectangular brush? A Gardener swivel can be fitted to an Xline brush in a couple of mins and lastly Xline do an excellent DuPont bristle rinsebar brush 👍🏻
@squeakycleandave1
@squeakycleandave1 6 лет назад
julian pierce good points. I used the sill brush as it was what I could get my hands on as I couldn’t afford to buy another brush for the video and it was a comparison of the rinse bar rather then the brush. The weight and price were taken from the x line web site for a 26cm rectangular brush the same as the Gardiner. The DuPont brush I already had from Gardiner as I was going to do a review on it ages ago and never got round to it. If I was to buy a xline I would fit a Gardiner swivel but as I had borrowed the brush I didn’t want change it. Thanks for watching 👍

xline best brushes ever ..... why use a controller
@squeakycleandave1
@squeakycleandave1 5 лет назад
The controller lets you set the flow rate of the water so it’s not on full the whole time. Someone contacted me last week to say they weren’t using a controller and they used 350litres of water on 6 houses. 350 litres lasts me the whole day
