Today we're jumping back-in-time to the first "new" #WASHWEDNESDAY episode we shot this year! It's important to note the timeline because you'll probably see parts of the TRC studio in this episode looking "unfinished", etc. so now you know!
In this episode, we meet Noel, a bright young guy with a fascinating story about his experience moving to America! Of course, since this is a #WASHWEDNESDAY, Anthony teaches Noel how to properly wash his lovely new Honda Civic Sport in a way that will minimize marring and scratching!
This Civic was filthy, so we're glad we could bring it back to its showroom-state and hopefully show Noel how to keep it there!

I enjoyed your video and listening to Noel's immigration story! I noticed while I was watching your video that you used only one bucket of water solution of ONR. Others say to use two buckets, one bucket of just water to rinse the sponge out with before putting back into the solution. It just seems to me it would be better to rinse the sponge in water, but why wouldn't it matter? 🤔 (I've never even communicated with anyone from Idaho before! I wondered if people actually live there since I'm in the hinterlands of Miami, Florida. I look forward to your reply!)

Hey Dane, Great to see Wash Wednesdays back. Are rinseless washes in the studio the intended way forward for these? I can't help but feel the charm of the old videos has gone somewhat (AdamLZ Skyline, Morgan's M3 with your beautiful panning shots, I still go back to watch those!). Also, is it really a wash wednesday if it doesn't have the classic "David Cutter Corners"?! I hope you're gonna get that back in with your slowmo shots again!??

@@theragcompany Hi Dane! Good to hear from you and thanks for the reply, nice to hear you are keeping busy during these times. I definitely didn't meant to hate on the new style videos if it came across that way, they are still nice and different in a way. Maybe each editor has his/her own style and thats also coming across in the videos. I also think the filming location may have an impact on it, looking back a lot of the washing was done outside, it brought in some colour etc. Thats not to say the new location is bad - its an awesome studio, but maybe the white background makes it a little sterile compared to those older videos, I think thats more what I feel carried the 'charm' of the old videos...reckon it makes a difference? And yes in regards to "slow mo's" you're right it is just those nice cinematic slow shots with the music over the top. Perhaps I associated those being paired with your David Cutter Corner music to make, for me at least, the iconic 'Wash Wednesday style' to the videos, i found it very therapeutic and relaxing coming back after...lets say dark days in the past, your wash wednesdays definitely helped me through those tough times (so thanks, discovering TRC and your videos helped!). Anyway, hope that can creep into one of the next videos again, it'll be a nice nostalgia moment ;). Have a good day!

Anthony talks about how easy it is to scratch the gloss black painted area of the wheels. What is the most efficient way of polishing that area back out before resealing? I really haven't seen polishing these areas covered well.

After viewing this, I feel like I may switch from waterless to rinseless. I'm having too many issues with waterless like drying too quickly, wax residue, swirls, and it just plain takes me forever. I got about half my car done yesterday in 45 minutes.

Which waterless brand do you use? Sounds like the car may be too hot when doing the waterless wash.

So you're using beadmaker the same way you'd normally use ONR with Opti-seal spray and a drying towel? Just replacing the Opti seal with Bead Maker here? How do you guys like it as opposed to the opti seal? What kind of differences do you notice?

There is dirt. Pay close attention and you will see the dirt on the mitts, especially the green mitt.

I have Carpro eco2 and I also have ONR, but I'm not able to wash my car with a simple bucket and a simple glove, the glove from what I saw, it gets super dirty in the video, how can it not scratch the paint?! I let myself be here with the method of 2 buckets and pressure hose....

I see in the comment that 1:256 ratio dilution. Is that for bucket and also for the sprayer as well? I also see 1:16 ratio for quick detailer, so I am wondering if 1:16 is used for the sprayer

When the chenille mitt becomes discolored from the dirt on the vehicle and it remains that way after dunking it in the ONR as well as scrubbing it on the washboard/grit guard is there a concern that there is still dirt in there that will mar the surface? I used to do ONR washes with the mitts but switched to the BRS/UBS for this reason, the only downside I see to them is the contact isn't as thorough and it usually requires multiple passes to remove dirt/dirty water.

But you didn’t use the red or the black sponge in this video.. I love your products but you have to be more careful because this is detailing and not an ordinary washing!
