Im taking Rinvoq 15 mg since 4 months now combined with MTX 5mg, im looking forward to quit taking MTX because i feel like Rinvoq made the change and turned my life for better and its looks like a dream now and like im a diffrent person! Im diagnosed with chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis since 6 years now, i could barely walk by the massive pain i felt constantly, now i can do sports i can run like a freak stay at work for long hours without a problem. Its true that it costs like hell but where i live the medicaments for chronic deaseses are payed by the government. When it comes to side effects sometimes very rare i feel dizzines but its rare , thats the only side effect i felt , but compared to how im living without the pain it worth it. Dont forget to exercise to, the base of it all. Im taking the time to writte this to u guys just to give u an idea and that i know ur pain but dont quit dont get deppresed u are strong enough same as i am and we can go through this! Love to all❤

Thank you for sharing your story. It's nice to hear where you are at after what has sounded like a pretty long journey. There are many options these days for RA but it does require some navigation with your treating physician and patience of course. Thanks again for sharing and hopefully this can help some of the RA community.

Wow.... glad to hear this..❤️ Started today with Methotrexate 15 mg and prednisone 20 mg... for Spondyloarthropathy , after Simponi failed to work ... Are you still taking Rinvoq?

Update 29.3.2023 : Rinvoq should be banned for being as dangerous as Xeljanz : lethal bloodclots in the lungs, in the heart or in the brain are very frequent. Don't take it ! (My new rheumatologist on Monday)

I took Rinvoq for almost 2 years and felt better than I had in years. Less pain less stiffness. side effects not listed weight gain break out like acne on face and places where hair grow UTIS sinus infection and then it just stopped working about 3 weeks ago and then stopped helping at all it was very good while it lasted usa

Since 4 months with Rinvoq and methotrexate, Very much positive results, all the blood reports came normal after 12 months of huge suffering.. Don’t know about future what will I get.. What are you taking now?

Sorry to hear about the loss of effect and side effects. In RA, we constantly are on the look-out for newer medications given these sorts of issues occurring in some.

@@DhaRuPerera have appt with rheumatologist in 2 weeks I will probably go back to infusions of biologics I have been on most of them before but maybe something new that I do not know about. I have a verygood Dr.

I take Rinvoq for 17 days now, for RA, and after a little improvement 2-3 days long at the very beginning, my joints ache and swell up again as if I had taken no medications ... Very frustrating and disppointing as I suffer for 18 months and after 3 failed treatments (MTX massive intolerance, Benepali and Cosentyx failure).

Sorry to hear this. You should talk to your rheumatologist as your specific medical history and situation would contribute to differences in response. Good luck with it all.

@@DhaRuPerera if your comment is adressed to me, I had to stop it. Since I took it, I have a very bad smell when I try to eat meat or delis. I tried Kevzara after Rinvoq, no improvement either.

shackletonify Oh... sorry to hear that, Rinvoq showing positive results to me since 5 weeks.. Swellings went down, can move wrist knee and neck into both sides... pain is still there in bt low level.. don't know how long Rinvoq will take control in my AS... bt right now I feel so much better after 12 months suffering....

Yes it is, Samantha. I really do not understand how your insurance system works and how each insurer chooses which medication they will subsidise so you'll need to look into that aspect with your treating doctors.
