And he tackled clean too. He pressed his opponent and tackled many times and only had very few cards in his entire career. In fact, I never seems to recall he ever got a red.
Even if United lost to Barca, it is still remarkable how even when Barca were able to pass in their Tiki Taka, Park was still full sprint, hustling. Most players would have given up by the 3rd pass.
@@Newhereverywhere if you think stopping Messi like SAF suggested meant stopping that Barcelona team, you're delusional. Barcelona represented the next evolution of football tactics that SAF never figured out and therefore, never beat.
Nah stop lying. Messi beat Park 1v1 several times. In this interview, Rio Ferdinand even admitted that Messi took their soul - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LqBNRmmCp38.html&ab_channel=BBCSport Rio Ferdinand: "He was actually better at Wembley." Again, stop lying to yourself that "he actually wasn't very effective that game" because the interviews and the game replay say otherwise.
@@knoxthegunslinger oh stfu captain obvious. What is trying to be said is that if Park had been assigned to only Messi the outcome might have been different.
When barca vs man united in final Champions UEFA.. All man united players looks very frustrated and stop chasing the ball cause of barca tiki taka fast short passing but this Park Jingsung won't stop chasing the ball.. He keep running without stop.. Eventho he couldn't get the ball..
@@haydnwarwick it was a great team. But I wouldn’t say it was the whole team that made that team so great. They had 3 of some of the best ever players. That team without xavi ini eats and messi would have been no where near where it was
Messi ran circles around Park, but Pirlo's passes weren't going forward. Park's marking meant that Pirlo could only pass backward or sideways to keep possession.
Love you Fergie but that’s fucking nonsense. Park would have needed a machine gun to stop Messi that night. You setup the team to lose that game and just accepted it.
@@haydnwarwick Park had 3 lungs. Messi wasn't gonna even be able to breath on the ball. Messi is a goat but that was a special skill park had to fully neutralise a player he was man marking
@@smoothcheeky8910 I agree.. Park was a monster.. He even made prime Pirlo look like a sitting duck.. But Messi was on a whole another level.. Fergie needed to change the entire team's tactics that day.. Putting Park on Messi would've helped but the rest of the team would've had to play in tandem too.. That Messi and that Barca was just out of this world..
@@justpassing5994 that Barcelona team was the best in history but you have to remember that united team did knock them out of a CL semi final as well. They were fully capable of beating them with the right set up. People talk about it like it wasn't possible. SAF knew it was and that not using park was the mistake
Rio should stick to modelling really , Pirlo is in a whole different universe than Park , and milan destroyed United time and time again, and Fergi you put 2 Parks and Messi wouldve still park his goals on you
There is someone I think who even knows about game more than one of the best man u cb. Inter has beaten prime barca, huh and pirlo also like park and said that he was able to stop him. Go to bed Messi blind fan
That barca team was over rated, inter beat them in 2010 3-1😂fergie was just too stubborn, we already beat them in 2008 playing more defensively and went on to win the CL
Overrated😂😂 in 2008 United beat them but it's a close match but in 2009,11 final United doesn't have a single chance they couldn't have touch the ball properly😂😂
Kid have you watch full match they beat barca but barca was the better team in that match they misses too many chances like 2012 semis vs Chelsea first go & watch the match
Park was class, but doesn’t deserve to be rated as highly as he is, if he was that important to united and could influence a game that much, why didn’t he play week in week out? Coz the player they all describe would play week in week out for any team in the big 5 leagues, what so Darren fletcher and Michael carrick were more influential on games? No, no they weren’t, so why didn’t ji sun play every week if he was that important?
That’s rubbish really. Ji Sung park couldn’t man mark Messi out of the game. And even if he could, Xavi and Iniesta would pass you to death if you’re without that extra midfielder
