I'll never forget when Rio Ferdinand was once the most expensive defender. And absolutely worth it. Honestly like what he has been doing after his playing career. Helping the next generations.
Rio spot on with his analysis on Gerrard, Scholes, and Lampard. Gerrard probably the best for big moments, Scholes the most naturally talented, and Lampard the most efficient.
@@ionnicoara6657 I agree but if you were to put the most neutral stance when comparing the three, think Rio was spot on. Every manager is picking peak Lampard
I rarely comment on RU-vid but this is one of the best podcasts (overall) that I listen to. I think the stories of specific experiences from the guests and from John, Chris’ top notch ability to moderate, John’s authenticity and laughter, etc etc it’s all great! Keep it up!
You should deffo try Rio’s podcast Vibe With Five when he interviews players it’s similarly as good for specific experiences with players fans have never seen before, like a behind the scenes from back in the day, mikels pod on his is also brilliant!
Obi Mikel and his guest selection is top, really playing on the nostalgia of those classic Barclays days and getting on the great players involved and hearing stories is a great concept for a podcast theme
To a hear a Nigerian in Jon Obi Mikel predicting Ngannou over AJ is overwhelming. I'm Nigerian but I also have Ngannou to win 👏👏 big love Obi one podcast ❤
Never seen this podcast before, came here for Rio (big fan of his) but surely will be staying for next episodes, really enjoyed the interview 👍🏼👍🏼. I would like to ask about the other presenter's accent, where is it from? I'm from Latin America and I'm interested in learning about the different accents in English... it's waaay different from Rio's
I’d love to know the reaction/impact the Terry/Ferdinand situation had on the Chelsea dressing room. Even as a Chelsea fan, everyone from Chelsea acts like it never happened. I don’t believe JT is a full on racist, but in the heat of the moment he said something crazy. That’s my take on it
Afcon Final - 11/02/2024 - Nigeria v Ivory Coast. 3 1/2 days to make the call. The Obi One Podcast we want, between Chelsea's African Kings. (Followed up with a chat with the Bison obviously).
I always wanted former Chelsea teammates to talk about the John Terry - Anton Ferdinand racism row. Rio brought it up but Mikel didn't talk about it. I have never seen any former black Cheslea players (notably Drogba, Essien, Mikel, Cole) ever comment on it. And Ashley Cole was right there.
You know... A good Ex-Chelsea player that would work well with the Brazilian audience would be Pato. (you could go for more obvious, Luiz, Oscar Ramires, but Pato was the ultimate wonderkid that peaked at 22 and had a whole history in Brazil afterwards) PATO PLEASE :)
Rio fadinand AKA in kenya "maunga: that was his nickname meaning person always in drugs (in positive way though) his tackle and his fellow mad man vidic
to tell the truth i never quite understood the question of Gerrard, Scholes, and Lampard. if a team had all three they could def play in the same midfield, so comparing 3 players with so diferent skill sets becouse they play mid is insane to me.
Rio, Cole, Lampard, Carrick, Johnson, Defoe. Not only was it half a great team, but the 4 after Rio that left after relegation were sold for an absolute pittance.
Ten Hag hasn't been hear since 2013 so he hasnt used all that billion and its not Ten Hag that passes the money over for the transfers thats the people above him thats been there for at least 10 years, so what your saying doesn't make sense.
Ridiculous 😂. Goat: R9 and Pele Elite: Suarez, Henry, Aguero, Eto, Ibrahimovic, Benzema, Rooney, Drogba, Mbappe, Lewandowski World Class: Kane, Van Nistelrooy, Crespo, Raul, Van Persie, Haaland Good: Son, Tevez, Anelka, Torres Of course they played across different era with different challenges. Stats don't come into it as much because records are being broken all over the place. Giroud is currently the highest ever goalscorer for France, but we don't believe he was better than Henry. Life isn't as simple as numbers and trophies.
These football podcasts are getting a bit boring same old questions all the time, Scholes, lampard or Gerard ?? Like fucking he’ll mate come up with something original please
Funniest is they drum up Ronaldo s goal s knowing very well .Messi has a bettwr goal scoring record which is so ridiculous ..that' he has played 149 less games than him...
Penaldo is obsessed with messi gisnlofe revolves around him ..he is like a narcissist who keeps playing his own..trumpet ... exaggerate s his mid achievements while putting the other one down
People’s opinion determines what they are. We all have biases but we sometimes try to be fair for our image. Mikel did nothing other than embarrassing himself. I love him so much but he goofed.
Why is Mikel Obi trying so hard but failing to speak in a British accent, stop forcing it, it's really hard to watch, you're Nigerian just be proud of your heritage 🤦🏿♂️
