I respect you a lot for taking a scooter up to 75Mph, that was incredible.

The fastest I've ever gone on an e scooter is 52mph, I felt like a superhero sliding/running super fast, kind of like the silver surfer. I can just imagine the feeling going 75mph.

Anyone who dares ride a scooter more than 50kph has to have balls of titanium.

i've rode a 15mph scooter and that was plenty enough, can't imagine how terrifying 80mph would be

It’s hard to see a motorcycle coming, imagine a scooter, no sound. This should be on the 1000 ways to die list.

I daily a motorcycle and grew up riding all sorts of different things. I could not imagine going over 70 mph on a freaking standup scooter. Just ridingg the lime scooters downhills in Tacoma was scary enough. 35 miles an hour feels fast AF on those things. That being said, I want one.

That blue connector is used in professional theatre and events all the time for our lighting equipment. They're good for 1000's of connections and very easy to replace. We call them Powercon

I reckon going that fast in a standing position is asking for a serious bodily injury. Sending love to all who invest in such a fantastically powerful piece of machinery. May they all rock a moto helmet and some extreme protection.

In 1994, 7th grade for me, my neighborhood buddies and I built a gas powered scooter using the big mag wheel scooters with the bike tires and brakes. Although we had to remove the rear one as it interfered with the rear wheel being driven. We put a weed wacker engine on a chain drive and away we went. It would do an honest 41-42mph. After months of blasting around the neighborhood and trying to keep up with cars, the front tire blew out at speed and I ate sh*t, sliding a good distance on my shoulder and forearm. But you know what, we slapped another set of tires on that thing and kept on having a blast, road rash and all.

I’m an old guy and an 80mph scooter probably isn’t in my future. But I do want to get a scooter and enjoy videos on what is out there. Thanks again for the info.

For those who worry about falling at 80mph just get a motorcycle suit, helmet, boots, gloves and your pretty safe, imo it's meant for this fast scooter. Falling with helm and clothes will get you some nasty road rash, bruises or broken limbs.

Thank you for doing such a thoughtful review. I’m currently exploring transportation and recreation using electric vehicles exclusively. I plan on building an off grid home using solar, wind and hydro power. I’m glad there are companies that are using cutting edge technologies in order to advance the use of them. I’m sure that as things develop the cost will come down as well as more people using it. There is one very important point I want to make here and that is safety. If we ride responsibly with e-scooters the public will have a more positive attitude towards them. Given the fact that there is opposition towards them we need to do everything we can to promote them. Here are some suggestions I have for all riders. Be a defensive rider; always assume people can’t see you. When using the bike/pedestrian trails, slow down when passing people and alert them that you are going to pass. If you show people respect they will remember that, especially when a ballot issue comes up that might ban e-scooters. Sorry if I sound like a dad, but I can’t help it. I very much want e-scooters to become common place. There are so many benefits to them. Stay safe and have fun! Your production / presentation is exquisite - as is the scooter. I can't see spending this much when I can get a V-twin Kawasaki bullet bike for the same price. But these Rions really are an exciting product.

It's impressive that a company spent the R&D and cost to develope such a great scooter when the market is so small. It is growing, but still very small.

But for the cost...you can get one hell of a motorcycle with a seat.

Impressive tech. Although for $7,000 USD you can get a lot of very capable motorcycles that will comfortably do 80 MPH, have a much longer range, and to me look like they'll be a lot more controllable and much safer.

There's this dude always riding around my city on his Honda CBR600. He's constantly blipping the throttle, revving, and doing mini stop light to stop light sprints to get some attention. I would find it mad funny if one of these pulled up and smoked him.

How long did it take to arrive? (If ordered online) how long would it normally take to arrive if i order it?

I rode an E300 down a big hill and reached 30-35 mph. That was pretty intense and ended with a little crash when it got unstable and I couldn't make a curve. It was fun though.

I wanna say one thing, you did make me happy with your professional filming keep going.

When more roads are being built for those who ride 80 mph scooters, you will see fewer people making their way in 2 ton SUV in a sunny day to work.

Finally quality construction and performance that looks great. Dualtron and Rion produce really nice scooters and are at the top when it comes to design and performance.

When I turned 12 in the late 90’s my dad got me a go-ped sport that had a top speed of 20mph. Most friends had them too. I think it was like 400 dollars. We used to carry around a little pouch of oil in our pocket so we could ride all day. Parents used to say “back in our day we didn’t have those cool toys”. 😂 Now look at this stuff 🤯 wasn’t even that long ago!!

For the last year and Half I wanted the RE70 or the RE80 but finally purchased the thrust. My first fast scooter was dualtron thunder and after a few months upgraded to dualtron X. Dualtron’s are high quality compared to other scooters but it can’t beat the rion on quality and materials used in producing a real high end scooter. I’m on a long journey of wait time. Probably 5 or 6 months. Can’t wait. Also, I got to talk with Gal…not sure if I spelled his name correctly. He is awesome!!!Answered all my questions and responded super quick. Superb and awesome guy.

I agree, having a way to see road in the dark, park it, actually be visible by cars and being able to show turn signal is so distracting.... This hyper scooter would make BMW riders proud.

Hi alien rides …just wandering how your Rion Thrust is running??? Did you have to send it back to have the controllers replaced??? I’m asking this because I have had my Rion Thrust controllers go out twice so far, first time was after my first two hours riding time, and had them replaced, and then they lasted about two months and went out again

45-60 is plenty fast for me, whenever I can afford one. Probably going to go with the WolfKing GT Pro. After countless hours and videos, That is what I chose.

I cannot begin to imagine how badly a person would injure themselves with protective gear, let alone not wearing a helmet, gloves or other leather gear with padding if they crashed on this device. Kudos to the design and technology.

I've had some horrible road rash from coming off my mountain bike doing 20mph but 80mph is gonna give you bone rash. Didn't stop me buying one though, and I love it.

I once went on a scooter that went about 30 miles an hour. I didn't know that at the time and it was my first time and so when I hit the acceleration I went flying. Now trying to think. Of 80mps is just unbelievable.

i would've used a push type accelerator found on quad bikes, it's on par with the Rion RE90's accelerator for safety. But to me, that twist type looks like it would be a pain to be gentle on the throttle, and may hurt your thumb and hand after a long ride! That's why I would choose a quad bike style throttle, byt that's just me!
