I know he's supposed to be played as support and as such not supposed to have a lot of cs, but I feel like a nice buff would be to reduce the wind up on his auto attacks. You gotta like predict 3 seconds into the future to be able to land steady cs if you're not willing to constantly spam his Q and W.

Hey Zwagg... pretty nutty idea... how much damage do you think you can cause with shield bash or a Shield for dmg ability if you run around a chemtech map and eat all the fruits before a fight?

He should have absolutely went lich bane. It is a great item on ap Alistar specifically because after you combo you have nothing. When AP Alistar was a thing many years ago, lich bane was a staple.

I always wondered why a bull with physical-like attacks have Ap scaling instead of physical... wouldn't Ad scaling make more sense? Maybe it's just me...

Ahri charm could stop your combo, but a snare won't do a lot. It pays to remember that malphites ult is unstoppable, ali is not a good replacement in some match ups. You could really struggle vs an ahri or a xerath if they were quick with their cc, or just someone tanky.

im DEFINITELY trying this right now, AP alistar has always been my favorite urf pick, but now it's clearly actually viable in a real game

If against tanky team comp, everfrost alista with phase rush seems like a good utility mid laner for fast short trades and picks.

Try a tankier version of this of Rod of Ages -> Mage boots -> Shadowflame -> Demonic -> Cosmic Drive -> Warmogs or Deathcap

so old alistar had a total of 1.6 ap scaling now if the buff stay live they are a 2.3 so he got about ~50% more scaling form this might want to build him going support with Dark harvest and gathering storm and build him burst items then can combo you to death might be a good counter to other tanks as he can now out burst them if they engage on him or your adc like vs a leona or nautilus wouldn't pick him into a poke comp how ever as he'll just get poked down before he can go in. with his ult and passive and the passive Mr/Ar gains for being a tank he might be able to build full burst while still being super tanky (god he going to get abused used and nerf back down) now that his heal also a %hp heal he might be good to go with as a heal tank with a CC heavy team so he can get his passive off more in each team fight just building HP and AP might even be good to take him top with a heartsteel and gasp he only needs 5k hp to heal his team for more then his old passive.

I remember building a liche bane every single time I played ap alistar W Q combo into E with electrocute proc into sticking to the enemy while waiting for the chain proc then huge auto attack. Almost feels like you are playing a rythm game and would 100 to 0 any carry.

you should try nunu sup he is actually a very good off meta pick cuz he has 2 cc W and E. W also makes you able to roam so easy, ult has slow, damage, sheild and his Q is pretty much just a extra smite for the team, and also works as a heal in lane. I always start W and use it on a invade as it a very good engage for an invade.

Playing this game since 2011 and never understood why tf is a Minotaur (which beats you with his barehands) AP. I think they either should rework Alistar into an actual bruiser (instead of a tank support) or they give us another Minotaur which is actually a bruiser.

I used to main ali back in the day. I really cannot find a good spot for him in todays meta. (Too many dash aways, too many instant cc, and most tanks just does better.) I kind of wish his abilities scaled from hp. While his stun stacked faster, with speed or something. His ult is great but feel its lacking in some way. Heck even making his headbutt be a double cast. (One press is a speed dash. Second cast is the headbutt. For example)

I m thinking of Alistar supp with Shurelyas. It's gonna be fun!

I feel like AP Alistair with exhaust and crown is probably an absolute menace as support for tanking the adc

they need to redo potions to where if you take damage while potion is active it cancels the remaining healing. it would completely change league early game
