DESCRIPTION: Goodbye, H2M. We had the original MW2 Multiplayer Remastered in the palms of our hands, one of the most fun Call of Duty multiplayer games was remastered for FREE thanks to the talent, hard work and passion of the H2M team, but unfortunately Activision sent them a cease and desist order, and we will never get to experience H2M. I wanted to share my thoughts on the H2M shutdown with you guys and hopefully try to offer up some solutions for Activision/Call of Duty, the H2M devs and us as a community. We will move forward from this and figure out a proper solution for everyone…

Activision can take 3 years off. Release a remaster every 6 months from WAW to BO2. Make the studios remaster their own games so they remember how to make a great game. Id pay £60 every 6 months for all 5 of these games

they are called modders the correct term script kiddies, these kids dont know how to actually hack, they only know how to modify game files, plus activision cant do anything about the modding issues with cod 4 to bo2 that is up to sony and microsoft but since microsoft and sony dont support the ps3 and xbox 360 anymore thats why the modding issue is so rampant, plus if more people play older cods the less chance youll run into a modder ruining the game, remember lower player numbers means youll run into the cheating pool because no ones really playing a good game.

This is exactly why I don't have a lot of hope when it comes to the old COD's being put on Game Pass. Everyone thought Microsoft buying Acti would revitalise the playerbase of all of the fan favourite, genuinely good COD's because they'd end up on GP. But if they can't even fix the cheating issues on the most recent COD, what hope have the older ones got? And why would they even want to? They can't monetize the old COD's anymore with the likes of skins, bundles or season passes so even the idea of hundreds of thousands of people going back to play literally every old COD on GP takes people away from BO6

This is all the evidence we need that Activision will NOT release a MW2, BO 1 & 2 remaster. No matter what. Activision waiting until the last day AND until the sales to end for MWR on PC. Now we as a community need to stop buying bundles, stop buying games and do not buy BO6. I was REALLY excited for this. I really was. Get your refunds people. Thats what I did.

I legitimately got a refund for the game yesterday, after hearing about H2M getting nuked. In my reasoning, I referenced the fact that Activision nuked SM2 in previous years and now nuked H2M. It's genuinely scummy that Activision pulled this crap a DAY before the mod got released. We need to raise hell about this. I also hope that everyone who wants a refund for the game is able to get one. Screw Activision.

The flaw in your reasoning is that activision is banking on you still buying their games regardless of community feedback. The cycle will continue. Your “at least we tried” strategy is exactly what they want you to say. As long as you come back next year. I do not intend to be apart of that any longer. Unfortunately, the reason it died is because it used MW2R assets, even though you didn't have to own that game. Yeah you had to own MWR, but 99% of the assets were from MW2R, whether it be models, textures, animations, etc. Had they used their own original assets, the mod would have lived (but that defeats the whole purpose of the mod). Even then, the mod had MW2 multiplayer maps that were not released in the official MW2R build, so people would then have to own MW2 OG for that. Also, the mod had all of the DLC map packs from MWR and MW2 in it, so you'd have to own that too. But those were not required, just MWR. This is why I think it was shut down.

I believe the team that made this mod should rebrand the name. Keep the same engine but change weapon names or customization so it doesn't replicate COD and voice actors and maybe they can keep a crowd that would love to spend some currency on this game 🎯 I'm tired of Activision or other big name brands coming down on the smaller groups

I think one of the biggest mistakes the devs made is blowing this up, giving it publicity put a bigger and bigger bullseye on them and Activision could've seen this and tried to see if there's any missteps by the team to take them down. Of course, one of the biggest ones is the use of MW2R assets.

Don't boycott? Then nothing will get done. Truely. Because if people don't boycott and stop playing their games. They're just gonna laugh and keep earning that dollar. But if the majority of cod players boycott and stop buying Microtransacttions and skins and battlepasses and all the cod youtubers such as yourself move to new games. Cod looses the main focus. New cod is in danger and it forces them to re-direct their business. That's how boycotts work. Hey! You can still get the files and all that and use another mod (that I can't remember the name of) and play with bots and still progress. It's less fun, than with people, but you can also do lan games.

Boycotting cod would actually work if its done on a massive scale, it will change cod forever u basically can say anything to Activision and they will do it even if it was like delete sbmm and micro transactions completely from the game and they will do it, here how it goes we need an alternative then u guys the youtubers and the media starts leaving cod and stop to cover the game and shift completely to the alternative then hardcore fans would switch too then casuals would look at the best fps game and find out cod isn't good anymore and ppl are leaving to a new game so they switch too, in this scenario Activision would absolutely do anything to regain the player base then u guys can tell them to make a good game like and they will do it. This is way far from a real world scenario, there is no good alternative currently (xdefieht isn't cod alt), not all the players would believe in Boycotting, Activision would basically pull their secret card and remake an old cod and ppl would get hyped again so the Boycotting idea dies

its insane that EA, respawn and Popcap are more open to mods than activision examples: Titanfall 2 Northstar, Garden Warfare 1 Private Servers (Like iw4x for pvz), Garden Warfare 2 Mods guess what none of them were taken down by EA its clear activison are scared of the community because we can make a game thats more fun than the newer cod games
