The master, read all his books, fished tournaments in my twenties and won because of him. Now I'm approaching retirement and got another boat, can't believe he is still as enthusiastic and spreading his wealth of knowledge to this day. Thank you Al Linder!
Al you have been giving sound advice for years. I have learned most of my skills from you making you the legend. For that I thank you sir for sharing your knowledge. 🙏👍
I'm in my 60s now...I've already caught more pickeral, and bigger pickeral, than I ever dreamed possible 40+ years ago. The reason being I graduated, slowly, to better equipment and better understanding of what works and why. Additionally, I'm retired and I'm not rushing around fishing. That said, this guy has been a great source of knowledge and information for me...if not directly, indirectly through the guys I've fished with for 45+ years who think this guy, not unlike Babe and Virgil, is a fishing guru. Do all of our grandkids a favor...let the big spawners go and just keep the small pickeral.
Thanks for sharing this information!! Really enjoy this and your other shows Angling/Fishing Edge series! If I'm not home I will record these and I'm not much of a religious guy but I do listen to your closes at the end of each show and they are great and yes I have a nice collection of St. Croix rods in my collection!! You once said "If you like our sponsors, let them know and support them" so I listened and I'm glad that I did!! Absolutely love these rods and I will continue to buy these! Thank you! :)
Yes he was one of my dad's best friends. Him and Wayne Ekland. I just searched for him and so happy to know he's still enjoying life. Cant wait until he sends me a message to say hi and beable to give him 1000s of pictures/ books/ fishing stuff from when him and my dad spent time before my daddy passed in 1988.
God bless you and the family. Love snap jigging. I've watched for years when I could, career military. Found my calling raising kids and just about done. Doctors don't give me much longer but I'm ready whenever the Lord is. May the Lord continue to bless you.
putting your hook or jig on your eye instead of hook keeper where it should be is the worst thing you can do,, if you get even the smallest scratch in that ring insert in the guide you will feel drag it will shred line and pinch line and eventually that guode will fail... one of my pet pevs is hooking your jig on a guide,, great information as always, tight lines!
