ive honestly watched every single evan, macie, kini, and marley video since 2017 even though i play on and off since then and i only have like 400 ish hours
A lot of tactical abilities where stripped from this game, I’m still pissed they took out the ability to change to semi auto and burst shots for certain weapons
Just realized 2 things when thinking about this nerf. 1. Didn't Ubi create a shrapnel mechanic for grenades (which changes how grenades damage worked through different walls? ) 2. Couldn't Ubi have just tweaked it from that mechanic if they wanted to reduce kills through floors (don't remember if that was the reason for this nerf).
You can still nade from below just gonna be way harder and like the guy before me said it helps get rid of the TDM meta next they just need to get rid of 1.5 or give it to every operator

@@michaelmyers457soldiers are trained to NEVER cook grenades due to how dangerous it is. not every grenade has the same fuse, so cooking a grenade accurately is not feasibly possible. so yes, your character, who has all types of combat training and experience, would not cook a grenade
@@michaelmyers457 yeah. I’m sure there’s other examples of these highly trained soldiers in this game not being able to do other menial tasks cause it might negatively have an effect on balance
@@brennansimoneaux4171 that and nading from below realy isnt all that fun to defend agianst since unlike nitros its alot easier to pull off without realy any good counters to it other then moving and that in of itself is also a drawback, and lets not forget as youve said ops were constantly picked just for frags and they tend to be as strong if not stronger then alot of primary gadgets which shouldnt be the case as secondries are meant to be weaker by default. besides lets face it the other options they could have done were alot worse we had 1. make them non lethal which yeah would suck, 2. nullify damage through surfaces which isnt to bad but would equal the same effect realy and would be buggy as all hell, 3. only give you a single frag (making it in line with a nitro which is also powerful but has drawbacks of throw distance, a very distinct sound (face it pulling a pin from a frag is drowned out, whereas the velcro zip is easy to hear), and well you only get 1., and finaly 4th random fuze time which yeah i think we can all agree big no to that one
@@greyfox4838it IS broken, they cant give nades to more operators because people literally pick ops for the grenades, when a secondary gadget used more than the primary gadget, thats a fucking problem.
I saw you can still use them from below if you only shoot the bottom layer of the floor panel and toss it in-between. Requires a little more prep and they probably get the threat indicator but when there’s a will there’s a way 💪

i feel like this was one of the worst ways they could have nerfed nades... obv it was dumb that nades were a must pick and people chose ops specifically because they had nades, but this completely ruins another playstyle. it seems like a lot of changes they release these days are just forcing people more and more towards the "correct" playstyle and away from having actual fun
would've been better if they removed nades entirely, then people are forced to actually use their gadgets and utility to clear people out of rooms, or destroy enemy utility, etc instead they've made nades pretty much useless, but then nerfed everyone because of it. would've been the perfect opportunity for more ops to start using flashes, the gonne 6, emps, smokes, but instead they've nerfed nades, then removed a whole load of utility from everyone for literally no reason it's not even like they're nerfing anyone who's an issue, instead just nerfing lion, sens, osa like ??
@@Lorentz_DriverI'm not a dev but even without programming knowledge you should know that remove cooking and impact fuse requires only a few lines of code, compared to building entire operator, 3d model, 2d arts, with the new guns and abilities

It’s to balance it because certain character get a massive pick bootstrap just because they have nades, they were also never meant to be a killing weapon.

Ubisoft should stop deleting content. They always lash out nerfs that nobody asked. If they want to balance, at least do it a smart way, let people see you are diligent. Add content, start buffing underpowered operators. All these nonsense nerfs have made the game boring to play. All what's left are math formula like playstyle, only people who play braindead would support that. That's why many people are quitting.

The entire reason the removed the ability to cook grenades was because people treated them like insta kill impacts through the floor which can't be detect and can't be stopped unless u kill the people with frags first. And people are gonna comment that I need to 'get gud', 'skill issue', or 'just don't stand still'.
Once again, the Siege community states that a certain change will affect the game so much, that the game is dead, and no one will play it. Once again, they're out of they're minds. If this change hurts you so much, genuinely just stop playing. You'd be doing us, the community, and yourself, a favor. That being said, keep up the good work Evan, your vids are consistently great
This i mean damm im a y1 player and you see it year after year after year and what do you know the games still going strong, if the game was gonna die it would have been during the days of free wallhack lion or the reload rework (since god people got pissy about that), and yet here we are. personally i think people are just mad that they cant get free kills anymore cause if you cant get a kill with a cooked nade you 100 percent you suck cause they are easy, and frags from below even more so take 2 seconds in a custom and youll figure it out super quick, now we get way more nades and no more super cheap wins (and before i get called a copper im a champ for 2 years and frags were always easy mode, now they are more intresting, plus the realistic people should be happy given no military/secruity org cooks frags its way to dangerous)
I read the designer notes and they discussed a few other ways they thought of nerfing nades that (somehow) weren’t enough and my first thought is why not implement MULTIPLE of those changes? Less damage through surfaces and a random fuse time (between 3-5 seconds) and make it so you HAVE to throw the nade (this was something they didn’t mention but I think would work perfectly in unison with the other changes). Those 3 changes I think would balance nades a ton if implemented together. But no, how about we instead just remove one of the few skill requirements to use nades well. And just so everyone is aware. I’ve never naded someone from below, I think it’s scummy and I also barely run nade operators in the first place. Sledge is the only one but unless it was against a castle, I’d go buck for the better gun and safe + ranged ability 9 times out of 10. Ubisoft, as per usual, fails to balance the game without making it less fun.
people crying over the nade changes are the actual ones who have skill issues... Nading from below takes around 1h at max to learn and it's often used randomly to get freebies (same with cooking nades, so that people don't even have a chance to react) Now they're not killing machines anymore but serve as gadget destruction and area denial... If you cry because now the enemy has about 2-3 seconds to fight back then you're not made for Siege...because now it takes much more actual skill to nade (now you cannot just chill and get a lazy kill but have to act quickly and effectively on the disruption you temporarily caused) Siege should be about let the better one win and not using a secondary gadget than can get you freebies Also look at Iana, Finka, Gridlock...Iana dropped more than 30% after loosing nades and the other 2 gained around 20% pickrate...they got chosen for their SECONDARY gadget and not for their primary gadget... If a secondary gadget is more desirable than a primary then there's something wrong with the secondary gadget
Reminder that this does not stop killing potential, just removes guaranteed kills and the cough skill ceiling by cooking on the floor below It will still be easy to get kills with the stun timer
I love seeing everyone here complain about the nerf like it’s the only way they can get a kill in a game, absolutely crazy. If you cook frags now and say that the community will leave them good, I want the ratty players out of matchmaking so I can ENJOY THE GAME, because it’s just a game you freaks

Evan, i found the dumbest but best cav hiding spot ever. its on nighthaven labs the bush on the right of the breech in i think its A site, prone in it with cav in the bloodwork uniform and they just cant see you its so funny you need to give it a go
You won’t get floor naded if your roamer(s) does their job and you actually utilize Intel. I never thought r6 would implement a change that shelters bad players but ig that’s what everyone else does. Any shooter besides apex, Val and csgo try to shrink the skill gap every single update. I can’t believe the amount of players that are so unwilling to adapt and improve that changes to the game have to be made to make it easier for them 😭
I have fun with Siege through Evan cuz they keep making the game less and less fun to play. They could have literally just made it so you couldn't put away grenades after being triggered. Instead they make them practically useless because they wanted to give them to more people.
