As many have said, Had Bart Giamatti lived I honestly think he would have brought Pete Rose back to the game. If you listen to the speech when he announced Pete's banishment from the game, you could tell that he had the attitude of "I really don't want to do this but as the Commissioner I have to do it" Being from Ohio I celebrated all the good times from watching Pete Rose and also suffer the sadness of this event.
