I remember Sally best from "Back To School" where she starred with Rodney Dangerfield. In it she played a College Professor. She did a fine job in it. Was saddened to learn both of her health promblems and passing. May she rest in peace.

I always thought that she had the most sensual voice I had ever heard, I swear, i could listen to her read a phone book. When she read the poem in Back to School, it gave me shivers. It's a shame, I thought her talents were underused and I wish she would have been given a chance to act in so much more. She did make her mark as a legend in MASH, she won't fade away any time soon. RIP
She read the ending passages of James Joyce's "Ulysses". She had a great voice and she did that wonderful material real justice. That novel was absolutely lyrical. It is a challenging to read but it is is widely considered the greatest work of fiction in the English language ever created.
You do not realise how the years slip buy and I well remember her playing hot lips the original film version of Mash. But the was 52 yrs ago. Another well known actress from many TV series I didn't realise had reached her 80's. I myself am heading towards my 76th birthday. She will be sadly missed and may she rest in peace having given her fans so much enjoyment over the years.
I'm nearing 76 also, (04/21) & remember her quick, but sexy nude shower scene in the movie "MASH! Coincidentally, I had just been discharged, a few mos. earlier, from a N.Y. National Guard, Medical Unit, 102nd Med. Batt., where I was a Spec.4 (Cpl.) Company Clerk, like 'Radar', so the movie really 'hit home'! R.I.P. Sally!
Absolutely. I'm so sorry to hear this.😞 Seems like only last week I asked my Grandmother if I could watch the original movie. After a lot of back and forth, she finally decided that I was old enough to watch. I was 16 at the time. My how times have changed.☺️☺️
Years ago I was an airline pilot on a layover in New York. It was a beautiful fall day, so I decided to take a walk along central park. As is always the case, there were many people on the sidewalks hustling and bustling about when for some reason, I just happen to see a lady out of the crowd walking toward me somewhat hunched over. She was wearing brown knit cap and a simple cloth coat. We both lifted our heads and locked eyes. I had recognized Sally immediately and gave her a smile. Right after that, she gave me a great big, beaming smile in return and I saw her eyes light up, knowing that I had recognized her. The entire event lasted only mere seconds as we walked past each other... never saying a word. To this day, I still remember the tremendous warmth and grace of her smile. I will miss you Sally. Rest in peace.
I am saddened by her Alzheimer’s diseases that took her life despite her brilliant acting careers. Also I remember Rita Hayworth who died from Alzheimer’s in her 68 . I used to admire Hot Lips on MASH and I still watch after many years . She was a classic !
That film was a classic. Brilliant writing & brilliant acting. Great music & lyrics. Poor Rita Hayworth was young when she was affected by Alzheimers. I had no idea that Sally Kellermann had it. She was wonderful as the neurotic nurse Hot Lips. RIP Ms. Kellermann.

I remember Sally Kellerman best from two different roles that she played: 1. Elizabeth Dehner MD in the "Where No Man Has Gone Before" episode of STAR TREK (TOS). 2. Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the original M*A*S*H theatrical movie. [A little side note that Sally Kellerman appeared in a single episode of M*A*S*H the TV series as head of the US Army Nurses, tormenting Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan played in the series by Loretta Switt.]

I was about 8 years old when the Movie “Mash” came out, she was good at playing Hot Lips 👄 I also remember her from “Back to School” I thought she was a good actress may she Rest In Peace.💐🌷🌹❤️. I didn’t realize that was her in the original “ Star Trek” episode.

So glad that you mentioned the movie 'Three For The Road'. I had a small part in that movie, but didn't have any scenes with Sally. I saw her from a distance, one day on the set, but didn't have the guts to go up and talk to her. I really wish that I had. Rest In Peace, Sally Kellerman.
I remember that I had been watching faithfully and for the very last mash show my son who was very young at the time sat there on the couch and watched it with me I believe we actually ended up crying it was one of those moments where you kept something in time and you never forget it I thought she was fabulous in mash did a great job portraying Ho t lips...my best to her family☘🤝☘
I also recall seeing Sally in episodes of the original The Outer Limits, alongside veteran actors Martin Landau, Harry Guardino, & Gary Merrill. A charming, lovely lady and fabulous actress. Rest easy. ☝
4:40 Sally had a beautiful singing voice. In the 1973 Film Lost Horizon she was one of the few cast members to sing for herself. Her voice was one of the few bright spots of the film which was unfortunately regarded as a box office disappointment. RIP Sally!

Aww, she was a fantastic Hot Lips. But I remember her best as the Language Arts Professor in Back to a School. She was so interesting. One of my favorite movies! R.I.P Sally Kellerman.
I first saw Sally Kellerman in the Star Trek episode, “where no man has gone before’.. She was fantastic in that thought provoking episode and then hilarious as Hot Lips in MASH. What an actress. I’m sad to hear of her Alzheimer’s Disease. My Mom passed in November on her 90th birthday of the same. Thank you, Sally for your luminous presence. ❤️

I can not picture M.A.S.H. with out her, she fit the part so well. I will keep watching MASH till the end of time. I even have the MASH trivia game. My favorite movie with her in it ( not counting the movie MASH ) was " Back to School " w/ Rodney Dangerfield. RIP " Hot Lips ".
Hot lips was her most iconic role for me, I was a big fan of Mash! I really didn't know she had such a long list of accomplishments in tv/movie and music.
I always enjoyed watching her in movies and loved her voice. You didn't seem to mention her part in the movie "Serial" which is what I remember her most about as she was great in that role of a typical well to do housewife in the upper class neighborhood she lived in. Tuned into a broadcast of an old Outer Limits episode last Friday night. She played a scientists assistant in a base in the South Pole or North pole, not sure. As I often do I went onto IMDB to see who if anyone was still with us today and how long ago they passed. Was quite shocked to find that coincidently she had sadly passed the previous day. It felt like 60 years had just passed in a mouse click. She was very talented and I think she would have made a real classy Bond girl back in her prime years. RIP Ms Kellerman

I have always admired Sally Kellerman. She first came to my notice in Star Trek and I was blown away by how beautiful she was. Her take as Hot Lips was iconic. She personified that character, so when the TV show came out, I was, at first, pretty disappointed in how they portrayed Hot Lips. The TV version just didn't have the class that Kellerman brought to the role. Of course, Loretta Swit eventually came to own her, so I guess there will always be TWO Margarets. Kellerman's O'Houlihan and Swit's Houlihan. Giving the two versions different names helps to keep them separate.
I enjoyed watching her in Moving Violations. She was very funny. My favorite role was of course, Hot Lips. She was very talented. Sally will be missed.
I always remember her for Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan from the movie M*A*S*H. Funny thing Robert Duval (Frank Burns) in the movie was also raised Christian Scientist.
I remembered Sally Kellerman best from Star Trek. Her voice was always sexy, even if just reading copy for a commercial. I had no idea she recorded music. I’ll have to try to find some of her work.
