That's sad, I could never afford to shop there. I have walked by the shop in Perth Australia many times. In my late teens I found Betty page and then Dita von teese and you always remind me of a pink hair version of her. I love ditas underwear and I have her first book.
This would have been a great ASMR video, the nails tapping on the box soothes my soul! And the soft feeling of the fabric would make nice sounds. I always say, it’s best to invest in fewer expensive/better quality clothing items than it is to buy a bunch of cheap clothes that’ll last just a few months! So good to see you splurge on your self, especially with how hard you work!!💓💓💓💓
🎀Congratulations on your beautiful marriage. I wish you many happy years together. I adore your fashion you are such a beautiful human being. P.s. We are both 🍓strawberry🍓 heads 🎀
I cannot believe this... this cannot be happening 😭 Wheels and Dollbaby is my absolutely favourite clothing brand. It's the only style I trully love. I genuininely want to cry
This is the cutest thing ever to see you so happy over a sweater - love that’s there’s a whole video dedicated to it lol. I hope you enjoy it, it looks great!
Wow pink and red is a really cute combo. The pink details in the cardigan and your hair work well together vs if you had got pink with red details. I cant wait to see what christmas looks youll do with this!!!
Do you have any recommendations for vintage reproduction stores/sites that aren't really expensive ( I can't find any good sites that are within my budget)? also that sweater is so cute!!!! and it matches your hair so nicely (usually I hate the combination of red and pink but for whatever reason that sweater is so precious?)
Sally Heajin Lindy Bop has nice pieces, I prefer their cotton dresses but their polycotton dresses have nice prints. It is the cheaper option I think! Then you have brands like Hell Bunny, Collectif Clothing, Banned, etc that are just a little bit expensive! :)
I love seeing collaboration with people like Dita (and you, though I don't know if you have any brand collaborations) who are very aesthetic because they're super intense about details. I'd be willing to bet there isn't a damn stitch out of place in that cardigan. It's not my style but it's beautiful.
I love how the buttons and ribbons pop up in the red one! For the perfect Mrs Claus look you could add a white fur collar, or just leave it like that 💕
Aww, ALB, I'm so happy that you managed to get one! You're totally right about the feeling of getting a piece of clothing that just makes you feel good. You definitely deserve to spoil yourself every once in a while. Xoxo
That is such a pretty sweater! 💖 Having things that are 100% your style and that make you happy is the best. :) (Also, Idk if you'll see this, but it was lovely meeting you in Mississauga last weekend! A dream realized, haha.)
It looks gorgeous on you 🌹 So sad that they closed! I took for granted that they’d be around and I kept putting off purchasing a cardi (because they’re a bit pricey) and missed out!! Let that be a lesson to me!
You look so right in that cardigan! Like the colour and design just pop with you. And I'm similarly a clothing fiend like I love a really classic preppy kind of style and one brand that embodies that in mens clothing is Brooks Brothers but it's expensive as heck- I've only ever paid full price in store for one thing and it was a gingham yellow shirt because it combines gingham and yellow like I had to get it. But there's two items a sweater and a sweater vest I coveted because Blaine from Glee wore them and I got them on ebay in my size and one of them the seller actually gave it me for free purely because they noticed a small hole in the back and they didn't feel right charging me a hundred dollars for that and it's the nicest freest item of clothing I own
I’m exactly like you with spending on myself. My mom said to me once “If you came back one day and it was gone, how would you feel?” That is now how I buy everything I want. Most things I could go on living. A repro of the original caboodles box from the 80s that I never owned? No, I would be devastated that the chance had passed, so thank goodness I got it from Ulta yesterday. I seem to have gotten the last one of that color (for now?). I sent a link to my husband to show him what I bought and he said “it says ‘out of stock.’” Crisis averted! All because of this quick shit-I-don’t-actually-need litmus test. You can feel it when you’ve made the right choice. Good for you! I’m not normally a fan of red and pink paired but it’s beautiful, and more so on you. It looks like it was made for you.
I’m glad you were able to grab that cardigan! I’ve always wanted to buy their clothing, I’m very into the vintage style. But when the sweaters and dresses cost as much as my rent, it’s not possible 😨😨
Ah, I knew I recognised that bust pattern! It's so gorgeous, and that box is so pretty, I'd never be able to take the cardigan out for fear of damaging the packaging 😱 As Halloween's close, have you ever dressed up as Sarah Sanderson?
Wow, that looks SO ravishing on you! Instead of hoping for another company to make these cardigans you should make some yourself and sell them?!? Imagine that! Then once you're established enough you can collab with Dita!(; think about it!
Helpp you're especially beautiful in this video! I usually don't comment before I watched the entire video, but I had to get this out now, 30 seconds into the video - so! Now I can watch the rest of the video in peace. :P
Hey ALB, would you mind listing a few of your favourite Australian retailers - any categories! I live in Melbourne but hadn't even heard of this vintage clothing brand before they closed down :(
I came from your ASMR channel and your normal voice is really pleasing too, maybe not as calm as your soft voice but I like it 🤷🏼♀️ p.s.: I wish you’d upload more ASMR videos 💔
I remember watching you in 2012 and yes you've changed so much but I'm suprised that you've been on youtube consistently for over 10 years!! and you still aren't really making much profit or growing your channel as i thought you would be. don't be discouraged hopefully the rest of youtube will catch up to you soon x
Do you have any interest in actual vintage clothing? I follow a crazy number of vintage sellers on Instagram and I feel like FabGabs would probably be right up your alley, or even Butchwax Vintage.
Where did you hear that they went under? The only announcement I read said that the owner Mel wanted to move on and that she's proud to leave her business at a high.
