Horses for courses. All depends on skill level and how worried you are about damaging the bike. DR650 more suited for single track and technical routes. T7 good compromise from the larger bikes, however still heavy. I would say T7 is an adventure bike and DR650 is a dual sport, so their application has some overlap, but there are distinct differences on technical tracks and long haul trips.
