@Juso ikr, he is really agile with the ball. But it's ok. Time will tell him the way. Even xavi and iniesta may be as not as good as their prime age when they were still very young like puig

He kicks at opponents heels, only makes safe passes to unmarked players who are standing still. He has no concept of defense or build-up play. Mostly spectates. Misses his few shots on goal. Good high pass completion rate.

There’s a difference between giving a player time to develop and there’s agenda. Koeman hasn’t given Riqui a quarter of the minutes he deserves. How will he develop when he doesn’t gain any experience because he doesn’t get minutes? On the other hand, he has done to pedri what you have said happens when you rush a player. Over-exhaust.

@@cndayusuph9886 nope that's wrong, puig rarely makes the wrong pass. Nobody is "way" better than the other, they both have their own advantages but I think pedri is more of an insane intellect with immense individual talent and puig is less talented individually but in terms of the footballing IQ he possesses when it comes to the flow of passing and controlling the tempo of the game he comes out ahead. It just depends on what style of play you prefer because in the end they both play amazing football. Its like comparing iniesta and xavi, iniesta was the more talented individual with better ball skills but xavi's footballing brain kept him a level above everyone because he understood the spaces and what to do with them more than anyone, its exactly the same for pedri and puig for me, iniesta and xavi had different fundamentals but were both talented so in the end if anyone wants to say one is better than the other it will be more of an opinion because they both bring their own different qualities that are amazing.

@@dineshthapa3179 we watched him last season and he was good. He even kept on improving until the final match against alaves where journalists couldn't even ignore him anymore and started calling him Messi's new partner in crime. But unfortunately koeman doesn't rate him for whatever reason

@@cndayusuph9886 go watch his last match of last season against alaves and tell me what a player like that is missing in terms of maturity. There is nothing that puig is missing I think its just easy for people to say he isn't good enough to start because of this and that because he basically hasn't played all season and pedri keeps doing special things which makes people forget about puig. Puig against alaves was just on another level and someone who doesn't know him much will dismiss the performance and say "it was just one match" but the truth is that was probably the match where puig was meant to turn into a certified star. All the special things he did there in that match he used to do every single match in barca b with a messi/ronaldo level of consistency, he always showed up with magic and the match against alaves for me was a match where puig was showing us he is truly starting to settle in the first team and reach his potential. If koeman didn't come through and setien stayed I guarantee you, the things he did against alaves we'd have been seeing throughout the season, which is why he is so good in his little cameos. What koeman has been doing with regard to puig is just straight up criminal, but other than that he's been a wonderful coach so far.
