i swear. Everchanging feels like it was written describing the divorce and 10 year relationship that ended this year and im still going through it. It blows my mind how accurate it is. The first time i heard it- back in the early 2000s when i first discovered this band. Then i hear this version during the beginining of the end of it- and somehow , even though sad- it has helped me get through it
Everchanging -- this is my all time fav. song , it is so touching that I can't stop myself and I take my guitar and play it on and on and on and.......... just love it..
For me, a decade supporting fan of Rise Against, its kinda sad when I see that the fans know Audience of One more than Everchanging. RA fans, don't ever underestimate The Unraveling and Revolutions Per Minute. Those 2 albums are fucking masterpieces released on FAT records. To get to know RA better first start with those two albums and you'll see their maturation.
Everchanging is from their first album:The Unraveling.Audience of one is from Appeal to Reason and Swing Life Away is from Siren Song of the Counter Culture.Audience of One is more recent, that is why people know the lyrics. Most "fans" know only the more recent songs. You ask a wannabe fan of Rise Against about one of their song, the first thing they'll say is Prayer of the refugee or Make it stop. None will say 401 kill, The Unraveling, Anywhere but here, Behind closed doors or Under the knife.
Jesus, just came here after 9 years to see if I could spot myself in the crowd and end up spotting (at 7:09) a close-up of some guy I later met at university! How small is this fucking world?
I agree completely; Revelutions Per Minute was probably one of the best albums i went out and bought, i say them back in 2009; they're fucking amazing live, it's nice to see another fan keeping the past RA alive! :3
Everchanging -The song, that you remember the love ! Audience of one -The song with memories about friends and good things ! Swing life away -The song, that you fight for love !
though disappointed they cut hero of war i'm glad they didn't cut some others because i missed this on saturday :( i've never heard some of these acoustic sets
I support the band from 2004 and RA is my fav. band. Tim is the best singer of the fucking world, but look at Brandon,Joe or Zach ! They are awesome and they need more respectation and fame !
Fuck that crowd. Rise Against didn't sell out, the fans who only know/listen to the popular shit sold them out. Props to the 2 people who were singing along to Everchanging.
Dude, isn't the point of every new album that band gets new fans? I've never listened those older albums, but I will.. I've just recently heard about Rise Against on MTV 'cause in my country everything gets a little bit later than in other countries. And I'm that kind of new fans.. Respect to you and your loyalty towards Tim and guys :)
Musically they have changed a ton. They're not even the same genre really. They still have the same great message though, and are getting to a lot more people than they used to now that they're not hardcore.
Cinder2k7 I agree I've only been into rise against a few weeks after a friend of mine introduced me but now I own all their albums and I love all of them but if I saw them live tomorrow I wouldn't be able to sing all their songs, there are a lot of bands in the world and sadly its taken me a long time to work my way to rise against!
@ohcrapitsandrew They're more of a rockband now, but check out their older stuff. Heaven Knows, Paper Wings, Sometimes Selling Out Is Giving Up, Six Ways 'Til Sunday. Those are punk and amazing songs. I much prefer them over the newer work, although I did enjoy Endgame.
@ringishpil Personally I enjoy Siren Song the most, but RPM is nearly perfect. The Unraveling has some amazing songs. Like....amazing. Alive and Well, Six Ways Til' Sunday, 401 Kill, 1000 Good Intentions, Reception Fades, Everchanging, Gethsemane...okay I'll stop now. :P But anyways, yea you're right those are some damn great albums, I wish newer fans (I've been a fan since around 2010 but I know all their stuff :D) would love these older songs as much as newer stuff!
@RiseAgainstXIII lol I was thining a few seconds "rumors wtf is there a RA song I don't know yet...?" until I realized u mean rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggurated xDD
I hate how the crowd is pretty much dead during Everchanging. Its one of my favorites by them, and imo better than Audience of one and Swing (although they are great songs too!)
Does anybody know what exact model of gibson that is?? Zachs looks like an old gibson j-160e. But what about Tim's? It's my dream acoustic and I can't seem to find it anywhere
