Ahh this guys voice is to die for. I absolutly love the way he sings, it's clean with the slightest sound of a yell to it. Not to mention all his words stand with meaning.
"Before we packed our bags and left all this behind us in the dust, we had a place that we could call home and a life no one could touch..." Describes something I've had to do more than once.
Really, i love their songs...especially these two...they make people wonder about how some people suffer... "The drones all slave away They're working overtime They serve a Faceless queen They never question why Disciples of a god That neither lives Nor breathes"
'If strength is born from heartbreak, then mountains I could move, and if these walls could speak I'd pray, that they would tell me what to do...." =D Ahhh, Tim.... Your lyrics will never let me down. Never have and never will.
Always the best. This song stays in my zone even today. Great music. Just really saves me a lot of trouble from speaking with you guys at times seriously because of most you I had the chance to remain silent through out this whole 20 years.
I saw them back in October with Thrice (My favorite band ever. RA is a very close second. That concert was insane.). They're sooooo good live. You'll love it. Have fun!
i.... i... i dont know what to say i just listened to this song for prayer of the refugee but drone iv never heard it. its so sooo awesome OMG ITS THE BEST FREAKIN THING EVER!!!!
Doesn't matter, they're still all great. This is not one of those mainstream crap bands that make a single radio hit and get famous, RA makes every song fantastic, not just 1 per album.
So, it's reasonable to believe that these two songs are a musical version of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. The lyrics feel like they're a modern version of the thoughts in Montag's head throughout the novel.
I love that all of rise against's songs have a starting guitar riff fully panned to the left, and then the other guitar appears on the right, or the riff fades to both sides
On the cd (at least I'm assuming so, since the burned copy I found has a couple seconds between the songs), the songs are played where the last note of PotR also starts Drones. Hence, themightychickens put the two together. ^_^
ahh the first rise against song i ever heard i got hooked after that thank you for your videos now i kno the words to every rise against song theyr eally helped
@Kelux111 In they background, the vocals are "I won't come back" 'God' plays at the same time as "Won't" so it sounds like he sings ghost, but doesn't. As far as I'm concerned, the lyrics are correct.
Wear your fucking god when your saronding by bunch people and called out for god and nuthink help you out and belt the living shit out of you so wear your fucking god then dick head

I wish other kids would recognize Bad Religion,Black Flag, and other great punk bands that had a influence on Rise Against but mostly Bad Religion did. I just went to one of their concerts about 3 months ago it was great. Loved it when they played broken english and blood to bleed.
5:07-5:23 is like....my favorite part of the song, besides the intro guitar is just amazing. I love both of these songs, they flow so perfectly into each other, and I absolutely adore tone of his voice in "Drones."
I have to have it play in every speaker to whoever is tuned in these days to understand the importance of the situation I really try to say my self but have been left in a state of uncertainty that literally is daunting.
Oh, well that sucks, you have my sympathy. Love you're videos though. For what it's worth (Yeah I went their) I really enjoy listening to the music you upload, you always have the best quality. keep it goin strong Mighty chicken.
I wasn't being a smartypants, I just know that people do post songs on their channel and click the box to run ads on it. It's good your doing the right thing though ;). Love the vids by the way.
@TheDeadlyFungus "You won't let me down" as in "you won't get the chance to let me down." This has been debated continuously for the past 3 years, always leading to the same conclusion.
memory doesn't always fade because we know that there were native americans here for thousands of years, dinosaurs existed, man walked on the moon, etc.
No, it is "won't". I've heard it countless times.. What you think does make some sort of sense, but I think it is good as it is. By saying "You won't let me down", he might mean that he can stand his own but they won't let go and let him
