If you watch this video backwards it's a happy story about a group of people who go through the city collecting scattered bombs and disarming them, before opening a bike shop. Very inspiring.
I love how even though Rise Against are famous and do get quite a lot of money, they write songs like these speaking about the problems that the lower class end of society faces, and they donate so much of their money to charities and take time out of their own lives to stand up for what's right. I love you RA, never stop making awesome music!
+VeganMotorcyclePilot I believe it's more that we bug them (irritate the people) until they actually do something about it. So by say we crawl all over you and insects in your ears they are meaning to be a pest and will not stop. Go Rise Against!
This song reminds me so much of someone back home who has tried to bring me down countless times. But in the end, so long as I stand up to anyone like that in my life, then I'll never fail to see that they are nothing compared to me and I need waste no time on them, because in the end, I am the one who crawls all over them.
I have been a huge fan since my early 20s, now at 43 I finally get to go see them live this October in Chicago 💜 now my kids are old enough to go too so bringing my son with me. Cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this 💜💜
Saw these guys live last week with Penny Wise. Rise Against live is such an amazing experience. Have been a fan since like 2007 and that was my first time seeing them. They were immense!
I just LOVE Rise Against. they have meaningful lyrics, not just like others just singing about money, bitches, and their "oh so sad life". RISE AGAINST ROCKS!
what i like most about rise against is that their music has messages that can be applied to your life whether your liberal, conservative, religious, non-religious, any economic background, etc.
I just returned from these folks show and guess what? They were really fantastic! *watch?v=fKTYND_4x2U* Their voice is incredible! RU-vid and fall in love!
This videoclip is not to be taken literally. This is a way to demonstrate that the only way to get rid of this system that does damages everywhere is by pressing reset and starting again.
I won't crawl on my knees for you I won't believe the lies that hide the truth I won't sweat one more drop for you 'Cause we are the rust upon your gears We are the insect in your ears
Okami I salute you. You are the rare breed of person in modern society to see past and break the cage that it surrounds you with. Haters are brainwashed people. Never give up hope and return back to the dark regresses of the cage.
Lillith's Vampires It's a rare, recessive gene, called heterochromia, hetero meaning two, chromia meaning color. There are different kinds of it, like sectoral heterochromia where your eyes look similar to a pie chart.
Lillith's Vampires Like the other guy said, it's actually a gene. There's heterochromia iridis which makes both eyes multiple colors, and complete heterochromia (Which is what Tim has) that makes your two eyes different solid colors. (I believe it can also affect you hair in the same way. )
This video is even more inspiring years down the road from when it was originally made, The members of Rise Against stand as Revolutionary activists for music like this!
I completely agree with you on this. But with all the power hungry people in this world that will never happen. As a great man once said "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace"
*Sigh* No need to reply to this. Rise Against is absolutely not promoting and insinuating that people bomb cities for real "change". This video and song is showing what *would* or *could* happen if, for instance, a government, or some other kind of authority, makes extremely rash decisions that are either completely wrong in nature or go against what their country/people may stand for. This kind of behaviour may *provoke* certain people living under that authority to react violently solely because the actions of said authority were just that harsh, especially if it's been happening for a long time. The lyrics "...We bring a dawn long overdue" may imply this. Wouldn't be that surprising if people living under authority like that would feel like they have been *failed* by them. If anything, violent acts of revolution, like bombing, are the last thing people want to happen, especially if people just want things to change for the better. There's a reason they show that quote by John F. Kennedy in the beginning. :/
Yes the video also brings up a another big question. When have you become the evil you fight? The bombers hit civilian buildings it didn't look like there hypothetical enemy was attacked at all. Did these hypothetical revolutionaries kill innocent people in there cross fire. If deadly force is to be used then make sure you have the right target because you won't get a second chance.
Jason Irwin actions like bombings are done soley for attention. gunning down crowds would have been much more destructive if that was the point they were going to do.
Could have easily been corporate buildings. Corporations are soulless conglomerates of evil that cannot be prosecuted but have the ability to buy politicians due to their voluminous capital assets. Kill corporations.
Join, or Die how do plan on kill this evil? By burn there buildings and kill there members or by organizing a movement to end there corruption. Is the corporate 1 percent so evil that you will risk bystanders in the cross fire? In video that bombing was late at night when CEO's and bored members could have left the building. Yes the attack did some damage but nothing major as far as get attention that General public will most likely see that as a terrorist attack and rally behind the government. If you think that a revolution needs extreme violence and bloodshed then your movement will go nowhere. If people in the U.S. want change stop giving every president two terms and stop voting for the same two parties. When the average person stops paying attention to the government's actions is when we lose control.
tom greatdane He has Heterochromia. Thats when you have two different eye colours doesnt matter if two different in one eye or if both eyes arent the same. I have it too. Mine are inside brown and outside green.
Well said man...!! It doesnt matter if some dont believe that thing isnt possible. The change comes from each person individually! If everyone can change individually then the society can change as a whole. So you must never stop believing that there will be a drastical change even if you are the only one that believes that. Instead try even more to make that change possible
Personally I think the uncensored version of the video is better because it demonstrates the reasons why these teenagers are attacking the system and it fits more to Rise Against's personality and style of activism.
That is why the quote is there. It is showing what will happen if a peaceful solution is made. It says in the constitution that if the government becomes corrupt, it is the citizens job to abolish said government. This is suppose to be a nation ruled by the people, and it will be, wether by politics or force. It's the governments choice.
I do not like spamming the same as you do, however make yourself a favor check it out *watch?v=el3cHidIiAU* Awesome music! Find the youtube video URL provided
Oh I get it, this is what could happen if the government doesn't at all listen to the people, and the only thing left is just strike with things that go KA-BOOM! Awesome B)
Mark Watson They should make a reprise where all of these guys are taken in by the police, questioned, put on trial and then imprisoned for property damage and probably mass genocide. There is a word for what happened here people: Terrorism, it's a thing. And I am sure imprisonment for life if they are lucky. The more likely verdict would be death penalty. Congratz, you blew up a entire city and died for it, great revolution *Sarcastic slow-clap*
Mark Watson I like the music, don't get me wrong. It's just the music video can be easily missunderstood by simple minds. I like the whole message of 'Not being stepped on'. Seeing how I am a every day working man and being stepped on is part of my every day job. It's wishful thinking, that's why I like this song. It's the fans that take this too heart that piss me off. And I don't really agree with their views: MEAT IS BAD! MURICA IS BAD! GUNS ARE BAD... Even though eating meat is a natural occurance anywhere you look in nature, so this is implying that nature is bad and that america is one of the place with the most rights were you can do shit like troll a soldiers funeral and get away with it. Your welcome, jackasses. And that guns are only as bad as the guy using it, ban guns and you only make it hard for the good guys to get guns. You know, the ones that keep a gun in their home: preferably locked away with some sort of security that their children cant get to it. So he is able to shoot a robber that is most likely wielding a gun he got easily through illegal means and will not hesitate to use to rob you, murder you and your kids, rape your wife and then murder her too. Congratz! Ugh.... this is why I hate liberals more then republicans. I hate both, but damn liberals can be so damn dense.
I was Radicalized in 2004 when my 18 year old friends who couldn't afford College and had no hope were going to fight a stupid Imperialist never-ending war so they may have a shot at some kind of life. This Radicalization was cemented in the 2008-2009 collapse as an adult after College who had debt and couldn't pretend to afford to live. I survived to become stable, many others didn't. Any younger people who are here that are getting Radicalized under the current reality (still the same today) in America - know that we're still here - we're with you. Push for change. Fight for it.
I love the song, but blowing stuff up kinda gets the wrong message across and is wrong. Oh hey shit is fucked up, let's blow everything up, including innocent people and their honest livings just because that sure is gonna help.
In a surprise plot-twist, they bombed civilian areas with an intermediate to high casualty rate, and almost none of them were government targets. Whoops.
America is heading for collapse. We need more people like tim yelling for change. Our government and corporations are bleeding this world dry. Im against violence, but its about time our voices were heard. Its time for our suggestions to become demands. Remind them they have nothing without us
