Even TOI reported July 2019 that the no. of persons migrating to Kolkata from neighbouring states UP Bihar and Jharkhand is higher people migrating from other districts of Bengal Due to such huge influx of migration from other states , local population of Bengal are getting ignored and jobs are being grabbed by people from neighbouring states Also since Bengali is not a mandatory language paper for WB state Govt exams - many people from neighbouring states are choosing Hindi/ Urdu as language and getting easy employment therefore the local domicile population of Bengal are getting ignored. It is to be noted that all state Govt exams have their main state language paper for employment in State Government - For Karnataka PSC -Kannada mandatory , Tamilnadu PSC - Tamil mandatory , Kerala PSC -malayalam mandatory , Gujarat PSC - Gujarati mandatory paper , Maharashtra PSC -Marathi mandatory paper Just see the recent WBSEDCL employment list -you will understand what I am trying to say
