This is the original intro of "Rise of Nations", made by Big Huge Games/Microsoft who own the copyright. It is here for preservation and especially for nostalgia for all the players.
I really liked that game when it came out and have fond memories of it, though I never played it after perhaps the first year from release. Simply not as catchy as Civilization or Age of Empires, its two obvious idols.
