Playing as "China" or West Xia and trying to build up and survive the ensuing Khanate is one of challenges that I really enjoy in CK3! Looking forward to see how this one goes!
It's really interesting to see how the first world war really did end all wars for once. That is by teaching people to fear the Shang Empire's nukes and also uniting every major power under one faction

Shang has to have been my favorite mega campaign, it was a nice departure from being overpowered in Europe or North America and there were more chances of instability.

Brazil got retconned from vic 2 to hoi4, still recovered, allied to shang then was the one who helped the most. Only to get nothing from the peace deal

Those wonderfull people of the converters also made one for Imperator: Rome. Make sure to use IR timeline extender mod so historical events like Christianity, Islam, Hunnic invasions, plagues, etc are added beyond the regular IR timeline. Include that, and you would have a real mega PDX megacampaign!
I totally get not starting in 867, but a Meg Campaign where you start as Ghana as 867 with the nutty mines of Mali and trying to unite Africa before moving on to EU4 and having Africa rule the world!

ISP creates a very unfortunate western Chinese man who's dynasty migrates to India and spend the next few centuries claiming, losing and then reclaiming the Mandate of Heaven on repeat.
"I kinda hoped the Mongol Invasion would be a big fight.. but nope..." That's basically me every single run of CK3 I've done. I'd hyped up and watched this Mongol steam roller getting closer and closer to me. There would be a time for instance during my Sami campaign, or my Polish campaign where there was literally just one kingdom between us. I was about to get stuck in. ... and then they blow up. It's sad. Every time when I'm hoping for some big sort of Polish Hussar vs Mongol Horse Archer war to go on to see it just... doesn't happen.

As someone who is currently in 1700s EU4 in my current mega campaign i stopped ck3 in 1400. it took me around 30 hours play time to play from 1066 to 1400. it gets extremely boring and takes so long especially due to late game lag. At that point it's more fun to just play an extra 44 years in EU4 where time goes by faster and you have stuff to do again.
