With spectacular footage and animations, Rise of the Great White Shark takes an in depth look into the specific events and adaptations that helped sharks dominate the sea.
I can't imagine anything scarier than being out diving and suddenly a giant great white swims towards you How can it look so majestic and terrifying at the same time!
Back when I was in nam I ran into a bull shark. We were 20 deep scrolling the jungle deep in nig nang we were in the shi*. Anyway let me get back to the shark. We were wading through river and I felt something down by my leg. I checked and at first i didn’t find anything. Then again I felt something hit my leg I reach down and sure as shit a 6 foot bull shark. I almost shat myself. I shot 30 buckets into that water but I don’t think I got him. Or her. From there we went on to dang sang province. That’s all I got.
Accessibility is so important when it comes to educational content, and I’m forever grateful for companies like Magellan that provide free, full-length, high-quality docs on platforms like RU-vid even though they have a paid subscription service they could easily lock it behind.
Wow the information and narration in this documentary is first class, the footage is so good you feel like you're in the water with the sharks, you must of had so much patience waiting for the perfect moment to capture these beautiful animals and I sense such passion for the sharks, truly fantastic 😁
Seeing great whites up close is amazing. South Australia has some of the best diving experiences for ocean floor shark cage diving. We're also the only stay in Australia where great whites are 100% protected in our waters
I used to do a lot of SCUBA diving and even more just swimming in the ocean. I was in the Navy and had a part time job in a movie theater when the movie JAWS came out. I saw that movie 23 times. I have not swam in the ocean since then.
Absolutely thrilling! 'Rise of the Great White Shark' in 4K offers an up-close and breathtaking look at these magnificent predators. A must-watch for shark enthusiasts and nature lovers alike! 🦈🌊
the Great White Shark is a fascinating and enigmatic species that commands respect and admiration for its strength, adaptability, and role in the marine ecosystem. While they inspire awe and fascination, they also remind us of the importance of conservation efforts to protect these iconic creatures and the oceans they inhabit.
Incredibile documentary!!!!! its truly mind boggling how the change of sea temperature, the existence of special plants and nutrients can extinguish or create new sea life like Megalodon and Great whites respectively. Great content once again
@@magellantv Eat sharks, save lives. Stop hunting on mtn lions black bears and bobcat. Open up fishing on White, tiger, bull. Why are we hunting animals that don't harm humans, and protecting ones that do?
@@magellantv Mtn lions, coyotes, black bears, and bobcat are predators that can be seen and hardly ever attack humans, and extremely rarely fatal or removing a limb. Sharks are invisible predators roaming around highly populated recreational areas and are known for attacking, killing, and removing limbs. Logical conclusion; don't hunt animals who don't harm humans in heavily used human areas, and don't protect animals that do.
These animals are insanely misunderstood, and I think it’s time to unlearn what we think we know and re-learn what needs to be learned about these animals
After wanting one for 38 years, ever since I was 12, I finally got a Megalodon tooth! I feel absolutely privileged to have finally been able to afford one. It’s a prized possession
The thing that makes the white shark so terrifying is that it’s still a fish a really big fish that can weigh up to 4-5 thousand pounds and move at speeds up to 40mph bro and you can’t hear them because unlike orcas and wales and dolphins they have no vocal cords so you never see them coming at all until your hit by one and it’s usually game over after that 🥶🥶🥶🥶 they have better eye sight or close to a humans vision so they are very accurate when hunting they’re prey guys new research has proven that they are critical at thinking things through before attacking 🥵
I remember when the movie,"Jaws" was all the rage...All these years since it's premiere I have been enjoying the scientist and biology Professors exploration of places in the deep oceans... The existence of a species of sharks that are so big that compared to the Great White ,is astounding... The Great White can get very big, but the Greenland Sharks have been recorded by deep diving robots.... The Greenland Shark, for example.Check It out on Wikipedia...The drums in the background music is very annoying...
have had this video on my playlist on Prime until yesterday when it was “no longer available” imagine my surprise when I found it here - why on earth was the dreadful sound track added - it was marvelous without it - gads

I'd love to see one close up. Is there any news on the situation at Guadalupe? There was a concern hunting and fining would resume now the eco tourism is banned. I really hope they are ok.
I've been wondering if they would be able to open it up for research again. I sure hope so, but I wonder if it stressed them? Why did they close it to research, anyone know??
@@Philip-gn8wx if you dont know already we'll I'll educate you. marine biologist have said and they do say often that's the reason why seals swims in packs when going out into open water. It makes it harder for the shark to single out just one seal and also makes the shark less likely to attack when it sees bunch of seals. When it's just one seal it will almost always be locked on and attacked. That's what I mean by (They). (They) are the marine biologist and the people who are reading the script from whenever your watching an animal planet documentary.
I wonder if the White Shark Nicole was born in Western Australia and returns there every 4-5 years for some reason. I'd love to be young again and be able to study these beautiful creatures on the water, and not from my computer.
I was actually part of the research team that tagged Nicole back in 2003. This was a joint project between MCM (Marine and Coastal Management) from Cape Town, WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society), White Shark Trust (who I was working with) and a few others. It was an amazing experience, and getting the news maybe a year later that Nicole had travelled to Australia and back to S. Africa was incredible. That information was a huge deal at the time and lead to Great White Sharks being added to the CITES list for protection. Previously they didn't have full protection because there was an argument that they stayed in "local" populations, meaning they only required protection by the individual countries where they were found. Nicole really changed everything from a conservation point of view.
Very interesting video. But how can this cage be safe for people? It looks like shark can put head into the cage above but anyway they are so interesting for me, as crocodiles, sharks and more creatures are from the time when dinosaurs Were alive! ❤
@@magellantv absolutely, I swim in adriatic sea where they say thats not possible to see a shark in adriatic sea! I still have fears to swim too deep! And its possible to be attacked here too if i think better , there was I think but just few cases people were attacked in adriatic. But what Im trying to say is , they are interesting to watch! But trough the phone not in any other way. And yes its scary!
Even here is more video about poor seals. They are so cute but unfortunately killed by sharks. But theres nothing We can do. Sharks can't think will I hurt him? Is he gonna be sad? Hes just hungry and that's his food. But this video is made extra good and based how it really is! 😊
At this rate the AI will be running our lives before long. Just wait until you are treated as a toddler again, the AI informs you it is your bedtime, your electronics will be inaccessible to you until you have slept a full 8 hours, and since you played with your food this evening tomorrow you will only be served mush until you eat everything in the bowl without playing in it.
Very well done documentary, and Andy Casagrande once again has the most beautiful footage ever filmed on these great and majestic fish....I wonder who the star of the film is? That is a good sized male shark seen in all the footage filmed from the cage (I assume in South Africa since the water is so blue) and he is most likely tagged and well known.
I’m a huge fan of Andy casagrande’s. I’ve seen every documentary he’s been in or filmed with sharks. I’ve seen most of his under water documentaries. And anything he posts on his personal social media I have watched. I absolutely love Andy…. And most the guys from shark week.
That being said I watch shark week because I love sharks. I know most of it is fake and I can’t stand all the attack shows the nat geowild plays during their 4 week shark feast. Anyways unless it has Andy in it I’ll take an actual educational documentary on sharks over dramatic made up shark shows or shark attack shows. All those do is further fuel the fear people have towards them. It doesn’t help teach people to love and respect these animals.
I'm 75 yo and getting kinda jaded ... When I was about 4 or 5 ,part of the morning was when Mom would give me and my siblings,(5 boys and 4 girls.)A large spoon of "Cod Liver oil"... I'm sure that the oil Mom was forcing us to imbibe daily most likely shark liver oil...🤔🤮
Anybody notice how the narrator keeps on speaking about Isla Guadalupe as if it wasn’t part of Mexico? As if it was some sort of Independent enclave “WEST OF MEXICO”
EVER SINCE I WAS VERY SMALL AS A LITTLE KID I HAD A FASCINATION OF THE OCEAN AND GREAT WHITE SHARKS AN KILLER WHALES AS THERE THERE ASWEL BUT ITS BEAUTY OF GOD CREATION WE NEED ALWAYS RESPECT AND BE GRATEFUL FOR GOD CREATION INCLUDING OURSELEVES AND BEYOND TGE UNIVERSE
We're sure that's true but great whites are also very misunderstood creatures and they aren't the violent monsters that a lot of people have been taught that they are.
Sharks rarely attack humans because we look like seals, or splash like a fish, or because someone dripped a drop or two of blood on the beach from stepping on a broken shell. 9/10 shallow water attacks happen because of our heartbeat. When exerting lots of energy like swimming in the ocean... an adult human's heart, brain, spinal chord, and respitory system produce a combined electromagnetic signature of around 4-5Hz and an E0 of 1.8 -2.0 mV/m. Larger sharks like great whites, tigers, bulls, and hammerheads can detect that signature from around ¾ of a mile away. It can dial in on the source as it closes distance on the target by implementing the other sensory apparatuses.
This was a good video except for all the lying B.S.!! Even modern science is seeing we live on a younger earth than what's been taught for decades! Why can't you catch up? 😢😢😢
18.30 - so much for climate change destroying the planet and created by us humans... 4 degrees warmer than today...6 times the CO2 content - the Arctic Ocean as warm as a tropical body of water! And we are told day after day that we have to do this and do that and therefore this will be more expensive and that will be more expensive... Unfortunately, too few people realize the lies that are probably behind climate change, which is nothing more than an excuse to take even more money out of people's pockets and keep the system running. This example is the best proof that the earth goes through natural cold and heat cycles and that climate change must be doubted. Especially when you see that it is being used to make everything more expensive.
@@magellantv This is the internet you are trying to talk to....they do not understand what evolution giving way to new species in the form of a verb means.
You know what I do.... or dont do? I dont think that we should swim in water that we cannot see to the bottom of. Waters have been warmer now, in the last bunch of years due to pollution in the atmosphere among other reasons. People have even been attacked in New Jersey shallow water shores in 3 ½ feet of water. Its not that the shark is bad. He or she is just feeding. People seem to sometimes be mistaken for prey to them if they start panicking in the water, flapping around. This can signal the sharks and other animals, even from miles away, with the vibrations that travel in the water. Pray for protection, always, "Pray without ceasing, in Jesus's Name Amen ❤ 🧎♀️ ✝️

Sharks are a vital part of the marine ecosystem. If they go, we go. Also, black bear attacks are 22x more frequent than shark attacks, so your entire point is ignorant of the facts.
