They don’t talk about it in public forum. Even Rajnikant originally Puttanna Kanagal spoke of fire in his eyes and talent - Balachander was there in that meeting - and as usual copied and took forward Rajnikant. Rest is history - but true facts are - there is no modern Tamil cinema industry without kannada filmmakers. Just like Thanjavur is not there without Cauvery water from kannadigas.
