My top India top 7 - ideally for all 10 tests - Rohit, Jaiswal, Gill, Virat, KL Rahul , Pant and Jaddu… (Jurel - backup keeper, Sarfaraz and Ruturaj and then Shreyas - backup batters…) I am confident that Gambhir will definitely play Ashwin in the eleven in Australia. So I expect both Jaddu and Ashwin to play in Australia together along with 3 best Indian pacers - Bumrah, Shami and Siraj…
Ideally- I would like all our backup batters to feature in the India A shadow tour to Australia in October. So, Jurel, Sarfaraz, Ruturaj and Shreyas should all feature in the India A squad and be in Australia in October rather than warming the bench in the NZ home series… (But I don’t think that’ll happen)
You can count brain cells in this room on one hand. Bringing in Pant in place of Iyer leading upto Aus tour is a bold choice by GG? Iyer plays cameos in tests, can't play short ball, averages in 30s? In buchi babu game, a young fast bowler saw Iyer, sledged him, laughed at him after bowling bouncers, bowled bouncer again, and Iyer got out. The bowler laughed at him again. He is getting spooked by kids in domestic. What are these guys even talking about? 😂😂
Kingshuk - I wonder how you ll react and respond to Saurabh , when KL Rahul gets picked and starts at Number 5 for all 10 tests this season… You are so confident that Shreyas will get the nod over KL Rahul and Sarfaraz for Number 5 , but I don’t think that will happen…. Rahul at 5 , Pant as keeper at 6 (assuming he is fit ) and Jaddu of course at 7 for me…
