I think Rishi has demonstrated a sound economic knowledge and experience. He is a lot more intelligent than Lizz Truss. He also demonstrated his compassion to the poor and most vulnerable. He deserves to be a leader of the Conservative Party!
“Sound economic” ? He created the biggest peacetime debt £2.3 trillions, put the economy in a big mess, price rises we are seeing and expected to see are direct result of his policies as chancellor. Boris made big mistake, he should never have been appointed as chancellor, he was an unknown in the party with hardly any relevant previous experience.
Demonstrated compassion for the poor and vulnerable? He proudly boasted that he was using money meant for urban, underdeveloped areas on extremely affluent areas instead. Also, let's not forget that he felt the need to correct himself after he misspoke that he had working class friends. I'm not sure what you've been watching but he has absolutely no compassion for the underprivileged at all, if anything he seems to have a sense of disgust when discussing them.
@ Harris. One has to be fairly educated to understand that there is a lot of media manipulation stories by his political opponents. He approved direct payments for the poor in the cost of living crisis, he introduced furlough for the unemployed during covid 19 and helped with loans and grants to businesses during covid 19. Do you really think that Lizz Truss is compassionate to the poor? I was considering voting for her. But after what she said about poor people I would not even consider her remotely. She referred to direct financial help for pensioners and the disabled as Gordon Brown economics and ‘handouts’.
Becoming the PM of Britain in present scenario is not advisable. Big chances to become a scapegoat of previous PM's failures. 🙏 However I fully support you. 🙏

He has a degree in economics, he has a sound economic plan and he answers all ten questions in the debate fully and in detail while Lizz does not answer questions fully and in detail and has no economic plan at all! She just repeats like a parrot that she will reduce taxes. That’s not a sound economic knowledge on the part of Ms Truss!

His sound economic plan is to provide direct payment to ten poor and vulnerable in the costs of living crisis, cut taxes gradually step by step, provide financial payments for energy bills and help unemployed with programs to start work. He also wants to completely reform the NHS, starting with missed appointments. This is just a start. He also wants to reform NHS management.
All those MoS that were told by Boris Johnson to vote for Lizz Truss to take revenge at Rishi and rose that believe that Rishi is chasing votes are gravely mistaken. I am completely impartial and support Rishi purely on his views and intellectual ability.
Rishi Sunak has a clear vision, confident, experienced champ. The rival LT is not even 10% of his overall performance. But skin will decide the next English PM, indeed.

@ Laura Uk Boris Johnson wants to take revenge at Rishi. He asked Conservative party members to vote for anyone but Rishi. They believe British people are silly. I saw the real poll and it shows that the majority of British citizens support Rishi Sunak. It is only Conservative party members who support Liz Truss as they were told by Boris Johnson not to vote for Rishi.
So, I voted conservative because Boris was leader. I dont now get to vote for conservative leader...so now i cant vote conservative. This is an own goal on all the backstabbers in the conservative party. Im not alone with these thoughts !
Someone tell Sunak he has been in charge of the public purse for 2 years and he has emptied that purse. And he didn't help those on legacy benefits either.
