Rich guys punching down. It's never the entitled, disaster capitalists, Tufton street advisors, and ex Etonian Tories who've botched this country for 14 years to blame.
First Trump lowered the bar of acceptable Western political behaviour to hither too unseen subterranean levels, dragging The Republicans with him into the depths of incompetency, idiocy, bigotry and greed. Then, as most trends from across the pond sadly do, it seems The Tories, and their Think Tank advisors, were watching very closely and have gone full psycho during Boris Johnson's post-truth legacy of insane politics. All the relentless gaslighting, corruption, deflection and in-fighting by the over privileged lunatics in government have normalised this behaviour to the point it now no longer even raises an eyebrow. All we can do is make sure they, or whatever they fragment into, don't hold the reins of power ever again.
So he's the british trump. I'm a bulgarian I don't give british politics a great deal of interest and that's all I got from this. Is it right or wrong.
This man married into a billionaire family. And his father was a pharmacist, he made vast sums from people being ill. You could not make this shit up. I have COPD, I can't walk twenty yards without stopping for breath.
@@saydvoncripps if you can walk ten yards without stopping, you fit to work. I have four inhalers, can't take a hill or stairs. Trust me, it's not fun.
@@saydvoncripps i admire the actions of DPAC , but the able bodied need to stand up and be counted too , disabled activists have been at the forefront of the battle to end the tory war on the poor , but it needs us to be with them in solidarity if we are to win i do appreciate how you say keep going dont give in but the burdens for many weigh them down so much
The way Sunak wants it now if you are on benefits as you are long term sick, he wants someone who is not a Healthcare professional decide if you are fit for work, they have a list of questions they dont know your medical needs, we have had one Death already someoe in the DWP made the wrong descision, General Election Now.
Can you imagine the grave concern he will have caused to those severely disabled by these comments . People with no medical qualifications deciding if you are fit to work - to me that is simply mad!
In order for sick and disabled people to work there needs to be employers willing to hire and pay them. They never talk about that side of the equation.
Don't worry, large corporations will lobby the government to push cheap labour their way through Job Centres, there will be plenty of work for all of those disabled people... just jobs that they can't do, or struggle with, or are treated poorly at, or aren't provided support with, or have no job prospects after inevitably being fired, or any real training, or... literally anything other than just soul-crushing treatment and labouring for a corporation that rakes in the profits from the toiling classes while consistently seeking to undermine their rights and unions.
Um...have you noticed how many disabled homeless there are. Maybe it's living in London, I dunno, but I see them every day. If it's illegal, they been doing it for a long time. I used to talk to a lad with muscular dystrophy living in the tunnels under charing Cross. He was homeless because he would get assisted living but his sister would be on the street alone. He couldn't leave her. See, humans don't fit in their world. So they let them live on the street. As veteran, it really upsets me how many vets live on the street. They have PTSD, drink problems, and they most definitely are disabled. Some can't sleep, others have been injured, depressed, anxious, have terrible anger issues....no help at all. Don't qualify.
@@Name-iq8te Nothing is illegal if a bunch of rich psychopaths want to do it. Welcome to "free" market capitalism, voted for by Britons again and again.
@@saydvoncripps tories complain about squatters, but then make shittons of people homeless and then act surprised when a bunch of us decide we'd rather live in their abandoned shop front than on the streets The vast majority of people I've met while living in abandoned buildings have also been disabled, like myself
I was unemployed for about six months during the cameron years. When I did eventually find a job it was in no way thanks my job coach or anyone else at the job centre. They did nothing to help, teated everyone coldly, and looks for any excuse to cut your benefits. The worst bit is it was all clearly deliberate. These new measures won't increase employment. They'll just increase the suicide rate among struggling people.
I’ve never known a government as bitter, resentful and plain horrible as this one. It’s as if these Tories have collectively decided that the population of the country is too high and have then decided on a plan of action to reduce it, which these policies are going to do.
Unfortunately I can’t say what I really want to say, partly because it would be flagged as posting “hate speech” and likely I’ll be blocked from RU-vid, (the irony given the situation is staggering) but also because it is too difficult to write anything that wouldn’t be misinterpreted.
well there is the Russian government who openly hate and arrest its gay people and those who speak out against them there is the CCP who make retractors disappear. could name more but you get the point.
Tories: "Surely being poor, disabled or ill is a life-style choice?". He wants to privatise more areas of the NHS, out-source it to people who will charge more and do less yet still pocket our money.
Claire Coutinho defended the members of the House of Commons saying it was only a few MP's, well 18 tories have lost the whip from 346 members which include rapist, sexual harassment, sexual allegations, lobbying, racism groping and then have those tory members remaining at present including 2 for bullying, tax dodging and one who taxpayers paid her libel & legal fees and we cannot forget Boris. So over 5-years you are looking at 24 tory members, if my maths is right thats 7%, so not that low when it's our government.
Can't blame the Tories completely. They wouldn't have got in again and again if those voting for them used some critical thinking. It's hugely lacking in the UK, whereby people need to be told what to think and believe. Even if Labour gets into power, things will have to stay this way for a while. The Tories have not only knocked the building down but also dug out the foundations. I despise the Tories. All they do is suck the country dry and throw the carcass to Labour when they're done. Labour makes some good progress, and the public starts thinking something like "ahhhh, things are better now. Let's give the UK back to the Tories". The cycle repeats.
"Even if Labour gets into power, things will have to stay this way for a while. " No, don't be gaslighted by Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves - if they had the will and the courage, they could start to change things immediately.
It lays at the feet of the Tories. The voters are dumbasses who shouldn't have voted for the Tories, but it's the lawmakers who are actually doing the damage. Blaming fellow workers only serves to widen the division between us and prevent us from uniting against the actual enemy - the owning class.
My dad refuses to vote labour after how hard it was living under a labour government. (He's 63) I say how can you possibly think for Tory rule is acceptable after these 15 years of absolute bollocks ? He says you've never lived under a proper labour government it's horrible, even worse than it is now. Somehow he's been brainwashed by Tories and is as fan of thatcher. This is someone who's been working class hi as whole life and struggling to get by only in the last 10 or so years has our family become a bit more well off with me and bro working and him moving out and the mortgage being almost done they have a bit more wiggle room with money but still behave like they're poor. Refusing to replace the boiler because it will "wipe out all our savings" erm... What are you saving for if not to have a decent boiler?
Im disabled. I can't walk anymore. I stutter very bad when I talk. I have to buy my own wheelchair and mobility equipment. I have had £50 a week cut from my money.i have paid into the scheme since the long hot summer of1976. I am an electrician by trade. I used to work for a university. We enter this world with nothing, we leave this world with nothing. Everything we own belongs to someone else when we die. I can't wait!!!!
@@Shredx1 stop making assumptions , david has opened up and told us honestly about the struggles he faces because of a system he has paid into for decades forcing into poverty , can you not feel any empathy , why make him someone to despise , as you seem to be doing if i was you i would do the honourable thing and apologise
All this in a week when we find some carers are being penalised for unwittingly going slightly over their very ungenerous earnings limits! When I was 8 years old my beloved granddad said to me: "Remember, nobody should be punished for being poor." For the last few years I've been reminded of those words with almost every news bulletin.
It's so disgraceful I find it insane that dissolution of government hasn't been implemented by the king he could do that but without the sound of the masses he will never know
@@curiositypiqued6573 Hang in there. It took me 2 years and a tribunal before I was awarded enhanced PIP on both components. Sunak doesn't seem to realise that claiming PIP in the first place CAUSES mental health issues!
I am very much "into" this format and would definitely like to see more. Thank you for investing your time and effort in highlighting the horror that is our current government .

Inherited rich bloke. Married into even more money. He wouldn't know hard work if it bit him. He's been given his money same as the wife. They disgust me.
Disabled person here (not UK)! There's this ableist narrative that work or ability are choices and you should just "push through, try harder." It also plays into the "disabled person as burden" trope. And this mentality impacts policies and the very lives of disabled people. Disability is not a choice. Unemployment is not always a choice. I feel that the very poor and disabled are often used as scapegoats. We could tax corporations more and stop shilling out to the Royal Family, but NAH. Let's blame all the financial struggles on the disabled and poor and the tax they take up. People on benefits in the UK are even targeted for HATE CRIMES because of the "benefits scroungers" narratives. I have PTSD, and suffering from ableism and trying to survive in an unstable system make healing from it so hard. I could barely afford food, clothing, or safe housing on disability ... it was a dehumanizing, stigmatizing, and abject experience (atop the suffering involved with illness) that I fought like hell to get a job so I wouldn't have to live on it. No one would choose this willingly.
This is currently the spirit in Europe. The German financial minister wants people to work more overtime "tax free" and people are just sick from covid. I am so resentful for all of this. I covered so many people like never before.
easy for him ( bilionaire) to say, he should stop throwing away multi billions on wars etc if he's that worried about money instead of picking on the weak/disabled , sickening.
@@justsomegeezer69 yes please! You're brilliant! More please! Moreover, you are reaching many people who aren't fully aware of the evil ways in which this utterly pernicious "government" has reduced our nation to a shitswamp, and done so at our expense. I'm currently off sick. What I can't do: write more than a few sentences in one go. The more important the msg the less I can write. What I can do: send messages on social media where there is no consequence if I get it wrong and no thought needed Tell me, what job does that allow me to do? Ps physically disabled, so I can cook one dinner for myself every couple of weeks. What I can't do : pretty much anything physical including travel
Just tell me, who was it that closed all the small industries for disabled people. They were given purpose and a sense of being included. Then came along the torys and closed them all down. Tenfold, or a name like it ,totally screwballed, that's this government.
He failed to advise that as in other previous schemes the 'Health Professionals' are incentivised to say the unfit are capable for work. Also that the new scheme will not provide the work
Apparently If you can walk 65 foot you are classed as able to work. Not sure how you get to the bus stop which is over 1000 feet away in order to get to work though. Maybe someone should ask Sunak.
Not much good for those of us who can do 65ft on a good day but then the next day arrives and we're too sore to do anything because of the previous day.
And the sad thing is that this absolutely bonkers rhetoric and these bafflingly destructive policies are not just a UK phenomenon, it's everywhere. And it's terrifying. *screams in millennial desillusion *
As a non British European with an interest in politics I would like you to do more of these, because they are entertaining and informative at the same time for me.
How I loath this creep......when you have £700 million, your wife even more ££££ I guess you can have an optimistic view of life. That you will find these amazing, insightful people (who will be paid badly) but can do better than Drs on who is or isn't well enough to work. Where are these new breed of assessors going to be conjured up from?
No PM can be bothered to reform the NHS. Too much blubber at the top, sponging executives that need to be cut off. That's why the NHS is struggling: not because it doesn't get enough money, but because that money isn't going anywhere useful.
It’s both. But mostly because most money going into the NHS is funnelled off into the private health sector. We need to nationalize the NHS (put into common ownership - not state or private) - including dentists, consultants, GPs and all the many private units within hospitals. No private doctor should be allowed to work in the NHS and vice versa. We should do the same with our schools, housing, transport, prisons, energy, water, social care etc.
JSG - good format! 👍👍👍 Rishi Sunak should be locked into a dark room with a spotlight and a copy of David Graeber's book "Bullshit Jobs" and not be let out of the room (bread and water supplied) until he can recite the entire contents by memory. Sunak's party has spent the last 30 years abolishing meaningful, rewarding jobs in teaching, health care, manufacturing industry (for which Thatcher had nothing but contempt), transport, utility services etc. etc. and replacing them with meaningless drudgery in front of a computer or stressful interface with customers whose gas. electricity, water supply, bus service, internet connection, train service or luggage transfer is not working. Maybe the answer to all this lies in 10 Downing Street, not kicking the arses of those who have done this work, and become ill because of it.
The Voters CAN do something about all this... Let's remember, whenever a General Election comes around, that is the ONLY time that all the MP's are scared of the electorate....
@@1258-Eckhart Ha ha... Yes, maybe... I still wonder if we should have a mandatory General Election EVERY year... At least, that way, we could get rid of those useless failures, nice and quickly....

It's been utterly relentless hasn't it, since 2010, and now we're right back to where we were 14 years ago. Most English voters love all this punching down rhetoric and go along with it. Labour will be brutal as well.
I'm a fylde resident. I knew about his older stories but most local people weren't paying attention. In my opinion because it is such a safe seat there was no reason to pay attention, why bother when it won't make a difference?
I don't think there is such a thing as a ' Safe Tory seat ' any more.... I'm guessing any Tory MP'S with a majority of less than 25,000, are running scared !
Yo same here. Yeah it’s weird how little people cared. You’re probably right about the safe seat idea tho, I’m pretty sure we’re one of the safest Tory seats in the entire north west (don’t quote me on that tho)
It certainly feels like a return to thatcher. And in her regime someone like Sunak would be laughed out the room for saying he's a prime minister of the future and follows her example.
But Angela Raynor might have not payed £1500 of CGT even though both the police and HMRC have concluded previously she doesn't, and experts have concluded she hasn't done anything wrong after examining the evidence, but a billionaire that has avoided £100's millions in tax tells you she might have, so they are clearly all just the same Tories or Labour.
I’m disabled. As are many of my nearest and dearest. Like we have guide dogs. I want to work but no one is interested in a forty something former journalist. 😢
I've had mental health issues since I was a child, I've been on antidepressants for years. I worked for the NHS, and my depression was exacerbated by no staff, bad management, and lack of empathy, I was going to throw myself off a bridge. This government is making me feel suicidal. 😢
80% of what you do I positively love. The other 20% is a car crash of metaphors and analogies that are likely over my head ,but after digging through the wreckage, I still enjoy regardless..Cheers
the first person affected by this if sunak gets to be the next pm and does this ,,,needs to be crowdfunded so they can take the govt to court as this policy is illegal in humanitarian law if that case is won then the legal prescedent is set and all further similar cutting off of benefits are then recognised in uk law as illegal this can be stopped but it needs us all to act in solidarity we can fightback we can win and we must
Yes it unfortunately is, but it’s even worse, we don’t have the literacy of Dickens, we get cabbage truss comics and bojo thinking he’s Churchill. I use the term ‘bojo thinking’ even though it’s an oxymoron by a moron. 👍😂😂😂😂
