The G20 Summit kicked off on September 9 after world leaders arrived at Bharat Mandapam. UK PM Rishi Sunak and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni were also welcomed by PM Modi at the G20 venue. New Delhi has turned into a centrestage for global affairs as G20 leaders from across the world have arrived for Summit. A day before the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Italian PM Meloni met her British Counterpart Rishi Sunak on September 08. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Meloni termed the meet “useful opportunity for discussion on the main international issues”.In an exclusive interview with ANI, PM Rishi Sunak talked UK-India ties and plans for Free Trade Agreement. India assumed the G20 presidency on Dec 1 last year and about 200 meetings related to G20 were organised in 60 cities across the country.
