Where to stay in Rishikesh - Hill hoppers (Upper Tapovan)
Travelling to Rishikesh was always on my mind after I visited Varanasi...
And when I was in Varanasi in 2020, I really wanted to ‘take a dip’ in the Ganga, to experience Varanasi at a different level, but couldn’t gather the guts because the water was too cold and we were there in the month of January. It was pretty cold.
Cut to NOW, the Ganga is piercing cold and yet I said “I MUST DO THIS, no matter how cold the water is”, and I did.
How did it feel? 🤩
Rishikesh is quiet heavy on energy already (the good kind).
You walk by the ghats, and you cannot help but notice your mind wandering into deep thoughts about life and God, about your existence, and how we are all living in a circus.
The cold water gave me a brain freeze, and I’m still frozen.
Frozen with the thought of how I’ve been not doing my beautiful life any justice, by constantly questioning and reasoning situations that were meant for me.
The water cleansed me off my own beliefs - of life, of love, of work…and I’m still wondering if I will snap out any moment from a dream. It’s like I’m in a trance…
But I don’t think I will snap out of it. Sometimes, you just find life turning a complete 360 overnight, or within one moment…even when you don’t plan it…
It’s pretty terrifying, but it’s freeing. It’s liberating. 🪐⚡️☄️
