Listening to Rishloo - Dark Charade All rights and music: Rishloo Buy this amazing music here: itunes.apple.com/gb/album/liv... Original video: • Rishloo - Dark Charade
fun fact, I grew up with Drew, played soccer with him for 13 years and never knew he had such an epic voice till I saw Rishloo open for Papa Roach in Seattle
Just a Ride is probably my favorite of their newest, but as I've said they don't have a bad song. If you want to hear something heavier from them try Freaks and Animals from their debut.
Just a Ride is my favourite too. Their whole discography is full of gems. I haven't listen to them for a while now, I'm rediscovering them as I'm typing this!
One of my favourite bands. Check out Freak and Animals OR you can check out the eidolon trilogy from their second album. It's 3 songs for a total of 10 minutes - Weeble Wabble / Eidolon alpha / Omega (Eidolo trilogy) ! Absolutely amazing stuff. Their last album( where Dark Charade is from ) is my personal favourite since they have more character to their sound. Overall really underground/underrated/unpopular band.
Have you had a chance to see the fan made unofficial video using game play from "The Last of Us"? it is very well done. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KWj4akYgoJk.html
One of my favourite bands of all time. You should listen to Landmines, the buildup to the climax of the song is amazing. That's the song I show everyone when I want to introduce Rishloo (and I introduce Rishloo to everyone).
mfcord I actually used to hate Landmines (but never took it off my playlist of course) and then one day it came on and I listened to it and realized it was actually amazing
I met Andrew by chance and have him on my facebook friends. I didn't realise he was such a good vocalist. I remember seeing "lead singer of Rishloo" on his page and checked it out. I was gobsmacked. I just knew he was a waiter or something at the time lol.
Well. Time to go back and listen to all their stuff again. I really wish these guys would get bigger so they could do a full national tour. I'd love to see them live.
YES...but i'd go more with something like orphan anthem 86, uh oh, upgrade^brigade, say when, or even the greener grass (i think jim would really like TGG).
i liked them so much even customs couldnt deterr me from getting their last record on vinyl and while i was at it i also got that shirt with the three eyed bear because bears with thee eyes are awesome just like rishloo
I swear at least 2000 of these views are mine alone. Whenever I wanna hear a great band in the (virtual)company of a nice open minded person that gets and likes rishloo. I come here, as I do many nights at work. Thanks Jim, grettings from the Southern hemisphere!
That Song has an incredible tone to it. Kinda upbeat..like it made me smile on the first vocal note. And i dont Know why... but somehow his style of singing reminded me of Keane.... and yes i mean the pop/rock musician ... it weirds me out but somehow that is super interesting :D
For songs like this, long, drawn out, building over and over, Just a Ride is the best bet. Fuckin amazing song and similar style to this. For more traditional Rishloo, I'd say Feathergun In The Garden Of The Sun is my fav song of that type, but Freaks and Animals is likely the most popular and is a banger. Also good (imo) Omega, El Empe, Alchemy Alice, River of Glass... Hell, ALL OF THEM!!!!
Hi. Just watched couple of your videos. There was a band called Siddhartha. Their first and the last album "Trip to innerself". This album was recorded/mixed by the band during July 1998 in Istanbul - Turkey and titled as 'Siddhartha' first. Apparently the songs were only available for a small amount of prog fans at that time. Anyhow - remastered ten years later in New York and containing some minor changes as for the track listing it's out now once more due to the TRAIL Records label. You will love it if you like space rock... Just a recommendation. Peace! Full Album: /watch?v=AW3LrnZISyA
Love seeing the Rishloo reactions. Another band definitely worth checking out is Lucid Planet. Their song Organic Hard Drive has a huge twist in the middle you'll never see coming
Nearly 2.5 years ago you heard a song so great it broke your chair and you said "I'm gonna have to listen to more Rishloo." Have not heard Andrew Mailbox's beautiful voice here since.
I like your reactions because you actually know music theory! Do you listen to math rock? You would really like Protest The Hero, I'd recommend Cest La Vie as a good starter to them. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Jim! Awesome reaction! I loved the music blending at the end with your commentary. Travel back to 2004 off of the Terras Fames album let us know what you think of The Water is Fine. I don't think you will be disappointed!
How about something completely different? Some Japanese post/math rock, to be exact, by way of the band 'toe'. Their drummer is insane. I recommend, "goodbye (album version)" or "all that I understand is that I don't understand". Truly, one of my favourite bands.
Salutations by Rishloo is amazing....Try and find Omega with lyrics and freaks and Animals with lyrics. I think Jim you would love Feathergun in the Garden of the Sun....Alchemy Alice another fave...actually can't go wrong with any. I feel Andrews vocals are a mix like if Freddy Mercury and Maynard from Tool had a Love Child
This band has truly quickened my soul. Another powerfully positive spiritual/musical influence has been Mr. Lif. Check out the album "Resilient" he did with Brass Menazeri. The whole album deserves a listen as you almost forget this is a rap artist about halfway through, but if you need to start with one song, listen to "Crypt of Lost Styles." You will be thankful for the 3:17 of "how the fork did this fly under my radar!."
Do at least 2 more reviews of them, you are missing a song from Eidolon (I'd like to watch you revew the song Disco Biscuit, weird one), and Terras Frames, which I think is very different to what came after :) It's pleasing to see you enjoying such a charming band
DON'T LOOK STARE WITH YOUR MENACING CINDER EYES AT THE LEAST OF US WHO HAVE GIVEN OUR LIVES WE ARE THE SAME WHERE THE SANGUINE OUGHT TO BE WE PALE IN THE LIGHT WE BEND OH, ENOUGHT SAID! WHERE'S THE LOVE YOU LIAR?!
Btw you might have meant something else but opeth and wintersun are as different as metal and pop :D speed does not equal skill or impressiveness. Opeth was a good example. Thats very technical and about feeling. Wintersun is more about the message in the songs and speed/epicness, but not really technical... by no means do i mean bad tho. I hope you get what i mean :) speed is achievable through practice, feeling only through talent
Cool. If you decide to react to this song, I think the following upload has actually a clearer sound: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3zrbhzjo6O0.htmlm48s Cheers.
WoW, great! Hi Jambi, I really like your reactions! If you want to take a trip to another planet ... listen to the "Liquid Tension Experiment" I recommend "when the water breaks"! You will be amazed See you soon!
I'm gonna give you a recommendation nobody is going to give, and I'm certain ur gonna love it... if u're curious enough, you should absolutely be doing . If I need to post this in every video you've uploaded to convince you, I'm determined to do so. Regards dear friend.
Well, at first l I'd love to tell you that, besides uploading a reaction video about Rishloo, which is my absolutely favorite band, what I like about your videos is that you make a detailed analysis concerning theoretical aspects of the music such as timing, tempo, rhythm, etc... Rishloo is never unwelcome! ... That said, please enjoy this one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s74yrK3cMH4.html
Oh! and something people tends to do a lot is comparing Rishloo to Tool, and it makes me very sad that is seems to be Tool the only band they know playing this kind of music (of which they are pioneers, of course)... but you said you haven't heard anything from Dredg... I think u should, u absolutely should, and learn why Rishloo themselves consider Dredg a much bigger influence to their own music than Tool. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZDTGCHeHZFI.html Hope you enjoy !
