He started acting at age 12 yrs old. I saw a movie that came out in 92 where he played a street kid and ended up getting shot to death in that movie. I have that movie on DVD haven't watched it in years. Courtney B Vance also played in that movie as a drug dealer. Merlin was a great actor.
