You can request time off to be home if needed but I would talk to recruiting about that. You run as an owner operator here so you take whatever time you need, but I would double check on that if you talk to them

It sounds good once thing I didn't like was the 1100$ week lol is that cause of personal choice or wasn't many loads that week me and my brother looking to do teams but we need to take home at least 2200 a week if possible
The miles are definitely there if you want them. Keep your fuel cost down as much as you can definitely make good money. Teaming can be tough here because I did it with my friend when I started. I would talk to recruiting about it but it can be done!
@@truckerdave252 I’m saying u took home 2400 but I have to deduct taxes yet so u was prob left with around 1900. But I just talked to a recruiter today. I applied a few days ago. So I’m glad I found some videos about the company.
They always said that when you lease a semi truck, they always want people who have a lot of money when leasing a truck. If I did drive a truck, I'd rather buy a truck instead of leasing a truck. Would I lease a semi truck? No, I wouldn't, and I'd rather repair my own truck even if I drove a grain truck
I understand that Mike. I didn't have $20,000 to put down on a used truck so leasing was my best option with no money down and no out of pocket costs even for repairs but I do understand what you are saying.
@@truckerdave252 19 yr owner op here. People don't understand that some of these lease purchases are a gift. What you earn is clean. I've had some of my better years under a lease purchase. These guys will learn the lesson when their truck lays a 14k turd on them out of nowhere. In that lease purchase a gallon of oil won't even cost you. Our job is to move freight from point A to B. These newer trucks under lease purchase allows that to happen easier
Wantin ppl who have a lot of money to lease a truck is a dumbass excuse these companies use to not pay ppl. “LEASE” purchase is leasing a truck with an option to buy. Why tf would I lease a truck and not expect to make way more than a company driver. When u lease equipment for ur business it’s supposed to make u money, not make employee money u choose to buy it in the end is a choice that’s y ppl just get new leases after their lease
@@Sbetee223 Lease purchase involves Credit which will be effected. Walk away lease that doesn’t happen. How many people rent homes & don’t purchase or purchasing isn’t an option?.. I’ll wait. If it’s not effecting you then why care? There’s Pro’s/ Cons to Company just like Rent/ Walk Away lease & Lease purchase

You're very welcome. Risinger only has lease purchase options. How they have it all set up, you run with the freedom of an owner operator but are not locked in to anything. It is so much better than being a company driver in my opinion but everyone has a different view. I only drive overnight if I'm going home and want to be home sooner but normally there is very little overnight driving. I'm home once during the week and every weekend unless I stay out longer
I would just ask the typical questions that drivers should ask any new company. It's a good company and has worked very well for me. My advice is make sure you ask everything you can and make a decision that works for you. Good luck!
I'm not sure about VA but I know we do some broker freight out of WV. Depending on where you are in VA, it could still work because we do have a lane that goes to GA and TX from WI

You are a 1099 so you set your own tax amount aside however you want (weekly, bi weekly, etc.) Then you file your taxes when you receive your paperwork from Risinger.

I try to respond to all the comments. I don't know much about Garrison, so my best advice is go with what would work best for you (pay, home time, type of trucks, service area, etc.) With Risinger, you run your own business so you call the shots on everything including when you go home so that's something to consider to. You can be home every weekend or take a week off whenever you want and they adjust your lease payments so you will always make money every week as long as you are running. Its the best company I have every worked for. Deciding on a company is just like trucking, trust your gut and your heart. Let me know who you decide on and I hope to see you out there on the road!
