It's such a shame that the industry of Haitian Compe did not organize and promote these truly talented younger musical artists of the early 90's and even today in the same manner as the spanish-speaking market. Many of them (Zin, Phantoms, Lakol) including Riske have unfortunately languished in obscurity and are sadly forgotten.
renee xuereb I won’t say it that way. Risque didn’t have a chance to do a big tour in Haiti due to political unrest and other reasons..but they did get the attention of the Haitian public. The only reason Zin, Lakol,Phantom had been successful in Haiti it because they kept coming to Haiti specially in Christmas, Easter, and Carnival. I was a kid when they had their first album and I remembered singing Risqué. They were well appreciated in Haiti.
