engi is boring to some peeps. to the "feast my children! make them bleed!" kind of peeps it's fantastic, but to the "i'm going to combo you into oblivion" people he's pretty darn boring

Couldn't have said it better myself. Engineer is by far the best character in the game. It's not even up for debate.

@@rico1506 its funny because I find Engineer one of the best except on Monsoon where he is probably the worst because his turrets constantly get one shot and you have no hope to get to the critical mass of fungi by the time your turrets die instantly from everything. But I haven't played since burning enemies got nurfed, so.

@@thorjelly well, at Monsoon you have to forget the fungi and hope for a sticky bomb printer, i had.... 35 on a run, everything explodes so fast, i obliterated a Overcharged Magmaworm in like... 20 sec? it's hard at the beginning and if you're unlucky on the items, but if you manage to set up a little... it's the end for everything alive XD

Artificer is only as good as you are. Nothing as satisfying as popping elites within a second all by yourself.

meanwhile my favourites is artificer and mercenary. i play them cuz they are fun and satisfying, don't really care if they are "bad"or ineffective. the thing is you need to know what items you should get.

them get a better gpu, i have a rtx 2080 and i can play everything maxed on 4k and get over 100fps.

@Blammo while yes, some people hated artificer before her alternate abilities, if you got good at managing cooldowns,and got just 1 or 2 backup mags, she held the top spot for burst damage if you could play her right, but yes, starting out not knowing how she works sucks

@Blammo I did forget about the broken proc coefficient, but to say that attack speed did nothing is false, nanobomb was and still is the highest single hit in the game(exept for loader, and we don't talk about loader) attack speed made that charge up a whole lot faster, which helped her out a bunch, as all of her damage comes from nanobomb, so attack speed and backup mags were a brilliant combination on her.

By getting enough CDR to have infinite I-frames, and becoming an unstoppable whirlwind of death.

Had a run in risk of rain that lasted for 4 hours... i couldnt turn on sprint and jump cause i had 22 wax quails and every speed item at like 10+(3d printers for the win) which meant that i would simply fly off the map. I was playing commando at the time and i was shooting so fast that my game just wouldnt register the bullets anymore

I wouldn't say OP necessarily, he's heavily item dependent and has his drawbacks.. but most fun character to me, and amazing for certain bosses (e.g. the gold portal titan due to his bubble) and generally amazing to have on any team for Fungus heals!

@@connortraynor2408 you're playing him wrong if that's the case buddy. i've had a 180 + - run as engineer and would still one shot everything. just get some fungus + nakuma + the double healing item and you're set for an almost endless run. the only reason i died was because it was 4 AM already so i had to go lol

@@connortraynor2408 even that is just wrong. never once have i seen my turrets blow up before 180 minutes, around stage 30 or so. you NEED to build around your fungus and stand on top of your turrets. your turrets will heal for so much so fast that whenever they do take damage, they're full hp again. and even without fungus, you still have your shield at your disposal, granting more than enough time for your turrets to clean everyone up. And his gun...dude, i don't know what you've been smoking but you legit bring an elite boss half hp, if not more with 1 charge, 1 CHARGE. have some attackspeed and you melt through everything. you know that gold stone golem behind the gold portal? ye? well imagine the fight only lasting 2 seconds the moment he losses his immunity. i understand the engineer is not everyones favorite but saying he's one of the weaker survivors is just flat out wrong. though, he's definitely harder to build around to

I had my first exceptional run with the engeneer. I ended up obliterating myself after about 25 levels.

if you think that is broken try a 17 predatory instinc and 19 seringe build with a lot of on hit procs and 12 lens-glasses. That is broken.

@@chuggynation8275 I found her problem was scaling, early game she has more than enough damage output to justify her lack of mobility and survivability. Her best scaling abilities are probably the flamethrower and ice wall. Problem is that the ice wall has a long cooldown, is inconsistent and only hits ground enemies. The flamethrower is asking the second lowest health character to get in melee range, which has obvious problems.

@@chuggynation8275 She's good if you get mobility items, including hopoo feather. But she is entirely dependent on too many specific items to be useful.

Sniper is being added to the game, he's in the game files. He's a bit buggy but all of his RoR1 abilities are implemented so far.. though they need to change the "penetrating rounds" to be "bouncing bullets" since this game is in 3D.. and the Timed Reload mechanic isnt in properly yet

Eh burning isn't all that bad as long as you have lunar coins and realize beetle is the most broken item in the game well not for engineer but everyone else. As it reduces max hp to 1 And gives you a shield for your max health plus 50% before the reduction to 1 hp. Basically making you a god capable of withstanding all damage since fire damage is null as 5% of max hp per stack is nothing when you technically have 1 hp.... lmao

I used a shrine of order mid game and got 300 tougher times and 14 dios, that was only the start of my run, I had 1000+ items EASY by the end

6 characters, 4 are from the first, that is not half :(

The real trick is to have your entire squad get preon accumulators and then be lucky enough to find a fuel cell printer and end up with ~15 per player. Aurelionite didn't even get the chance to attack.
