This has to be the most entertaining and hilarious car channel on the Internet how he's not over a million subscribers is mind blowing love the content
Share the ever living Taco Bell outta these videos and help us get super duper famouser! (In all seriousness, thank you, we’re tryin, we’ll get there one day)
Those tail lights are perfect, the way they blend to the side of the bed is **chefs kiss** and the rollpan makes the angled tailgate flow muuuuuuch better! This build is really showing off how your skills have developed over the years!
OMG This is going to turn so awesome I'm seeing how it is coming together and Love it I SO WANT TO BE CRUSING This DOWN THE STREETS OF WEST VIRGINIA SO SO SO BAD !!!!!!!
Totally digging the rear-end on that thing! Near the cab I think it would look cool to mimic the tail section the way it flows and flares out slightly to meet the cab corner.
Man I've been a subscriber for Quite along time. Since you were building the bug and miata . You've come such along way . Keep up the great content. You have a fan for as long as you have this crazy channel . God bless . Fyi thin tail lights from a newer Cadilac have have the thin tail light that you were thinking about
What the hell did I stumble upon??? What is this GarageIdiots channel? One of the most entertaining and inspiring RU-vid channels. Been binge watching your videos since I discovered your channel. You are awesome
Love this guys design,s and ideas. love how he builds without plans fabricate,s and changes as he goes . The bug goto be one my favourite builds on youtube paint looks amazing 👊
HEY PRESTON I LIKE THE TAIL LIGHTS AND THE TAIL GATE , LOOKS COOL ! HOW ABOUT OAK PANELS ON THE SIDE OF THE BED BEHIND THE REAR TIRES SORT OF LIKE A WOODY AND IN THE BED TOO ?
that WOULD be cool.. and definitely original. Would just have to treat the hell out of it to withstand weather if exposed. Under a cover like Preston had mentioned though, that would be absolutely cool. Rando thought.. what about a clear acrylic bed floor to show off the goodies underneath?
I really liked the way that skid plate looked on the back. It looked so angry and aggressive. But then again it looks good now. Maybe you could duplicate the raised part on the skid plate out of sheet metal and put it on the roll pan. Maybe cut the 2 squares out on the bottom for exhaust and kill some of that parachute effect.
I’m from the uk and love watching your videos your making good content to watch and your a funny guy keep up the good work and the good entertainment that’s there naturally!! 👍
The badassary in this is wild and radical my brotha .. keep killing it Preston 💪🏽 mad respect for your eye for style .. peace and love all, keep it rad, stay safe, and build on.. l8r famz and keep having fun
I like your taillight idea but you're gonna have to do the same for the front headlights. Maybe an under glow would look good just speculating. I think a wood bed would be better especially if it was stained and has little metal spacers between each wood plank. You need to put a supercharger or twin turbo the engine that would be SO SICK. The slanted tailgate looks awesome as well. Keep up the good work guys! 😁
By angling the tailgate back, you created an air-dam, causing less drag. That was a good modification, Preston. Normally, the air gets trapped in the truck bed, causing turbulence and drag slowing the truck down using more fuel to keep up to speed.
The bed idea sounds great. It will look awesome. Now only question would be do you paint everything black to match the carbon fiber or do you high polish the tank for contrast? I think either would look great but i would lean more towards a shiny tank and everything else black(bed liner maybe?)
LOVE the slanted tailgate and the entire taillight design. In the front of the bed, that side support, why not taper it like you did leading the tails? Just a thought. Keep killin it! Looking great so far!
Love the rear for the lights! Box in the front corners of the bed, then flare them to match the cab width, and mirror the AMAZING back flares for the lights. 😊❤
So so so epic! I'm loving the look and all the ideas you talked about, I'd say you're all over it man, keep going with your gut on this, it's coming together beautifully 🤘
Since your into chopping stuff in half. Im currently working on turning my 04 Honda TRX300 ATV into a side by side. Even learned how to 3d model to design it. Basically making a seating compartment , cutting the atv in half, welding it to the seating compartment. Not going for anything crazy just a little dirt trail cruiser. Since it wont have much clearance or power
G'day Preston, I'm half with you on the back end. I like the overall shape but not the sharpness of the metal on each end. I'd toss the LED's. Remember it's an old car don't modernise it too much. I like the idea you have on the front. I'd suggest have a look at Bad Chad's channel and the front of his current build. Anyways, that's my thoughts, so thanks for the update man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
@@neglectednissans paint it body color.. then its just another panel, except lighter and stronger. I agree though, as far as aesthetic it has to tie into other cf if keeping the cf look.
Excellent quality work bro. 💪🏽 you've come a long way and it's easy to see 😎 glad I could watch your skill progress along the way. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
The bed is sick. You could always do a led break & turn light strip under the tailgate on top of the roll pan now that you have one !!!! Instead of the big lights
@@GARAGEIdiotS ya they look cool but just way to big for that style of rear end doing the angle cut was killer love that idea ,led strip would be better
@GARAGEIdiotS fill all the holes and damage. Huge waste of time and effort but like.. it would be cool even though, only, maybe, 20 other people would give a shit and agree.
this thing needs those old bullet shaped tail lights from an old school vette. two on each side and one tiny white button shaped led reverse light in between
Really like the approach you’ve taken in the rear but please stay true to the era of the car you’re building and don’t use carbon fibre or plastic in the build. The LS makes perfect sense and you can dress them up up to look like an old school engine but carbon fibre will look out of place. Steel, alloy or wood will do the job and keep the feel at the same time
@@GARAGEIdiotS I can’t see any of the modern race look you talk of. It’s all true to old school hot rodding apart from the modern engine and it’s honestly perfect as is. Hot rods should be simple builds. That’s part of the appeal. Be careful about over building a car or building something that you have to explain to people so they can understand it. The car should speak so loudly for itself that you don’t need explain anything. You’re building a give-away car which should appeal to as broader audience as it can to gain interest in your channel. It seems like the majority of comments support the old school approach as it sits. Also, the simpler you keep it the quicker you’ll get it finished which is just as important in this case. Keep going Preston. You got this!
